Interesting place to say the least. A hidden gem. The ambience is very memorable and give the whole experience a different taste that you'd normally expect.
As the name suggests, this is a cigar bar and if you do not like the smell of cigar you might wanna consider another place. There's not much smoke, as this place offers a front outside seating as well as rooftop seating. These open areas help reduce smoke to almost nonexistent but the strong smell of cigar will still be there.
The service is great. Our bartender was very nice. Unfortunately she ended up charging my card twice (one of which was a completely wrong amount so it wasn't like it was a duplication error). The issue was quickly resolved once I reached out to management.
We sat on the rooftop, which we were told is only open on weekends. The place was perfect. There was a small bar up there and the service was fast.
We ordered a pizza. It was very good. One of the best. Definitely better than what you expect from a bar. We were impressed.
The whole place is basically a museum. Going upstairs you'll see different artifacts and decorations. Very interesting.
Unfortunately, the rooftop requires going Nemours flights of stairs. It's a bit steep. Not very friendly for a person with mobility...
Read moreMy family and I headed to this Cigar bar after hearing about it from the Bobble head museum & decided to take a look at it. The building is very historic and it shows inside and out. Once going inside into shakers we were greeted by Christopher ( our tour guide) . Christopher really had us intrigued by his brief description of the tour and we caved in and did the Shaker’s ghost tour after and it did not disappoint. Christopher was very knowledgeable and very into role as a tour guide as well as his facts about the building. He told us many stories and the history of the building and how it was used as well as why it was haunted and how it became to be owned by the now shakers owner. It truly was so interesting but we did feel really creeped out in the basement portion of the tour you could definitely feel the vibes were off as Christopher described what happens down there and who’s still hanging around 🫣! He truly made our experience the best he had a too many creepy stories to keep track of and gave us so much info about what we were looking at. We felt brave enough to do this once but trust me we would not revisit that scary basement again ! Thanks for our great experience Christopher we totally recommend this tour to anyone on the fence...
Read moreAttended the Valentines Murder Mystery. It was an awesome experience, probably one of the best (my favorite) murder mystery we've attended yet. We had a great time (a little late for us, but we pulled thru-ended about 11:15), I wish I knew more about art to fulfill my art curator (Charlotte Mumm)role a bit more but none the less it was an evening of wonderful entertainment and putting yourself into full character while minglng and learning more about eachs role and underlying interests or opinions to the plot. I was accompanied by Alfredo Diggs, the avid wildlife hunter, talked big game, big guns, bug safaris. The cast was amazing 👏, each played the roles to a T. The building and different floors was interesting to take in, so much to look at. I heard you can rent a room ('I slept with a 👻 ghost') and that it truly is haunted. Is it built on a graveyard? Food was pretty good-would have enjoyed rare prime rib, those potatoes,, and that fish, those HUGE 🍤 but nailed a unique special dinner for sure. Sat with 4 other wonderful couples, great people. Great, great time. Definitely recommend and hope to...
