Now, when I tell you this place is outrageously delicious and fresh I mean it. This review is a special shout-out to the sweet and funny Jacob, and the blonde employee (who let me know about Chris Humphrey’s brother owning the LLC). Anyways…back to the review. I didn’t see one speck of dirt in the restaurant. Every piece of food I saw and ate looked and tasted like it was picked from a garden/farm mere minutes before it entered my body. Not to mention they have a wide—no actually, the widest—array of food ingredients and drinks. I would strongly recommend the jalapeño-lime vinaigrette. It was so bomb (like atomic bomb). Furthermore, the bathrooms were so clean and elevated. They feature metal soap dispensers that house none other than Malin-Goetz moisturizing soap and lotion. My hands have never felt smoother leaving a restaurant bathroom. But now let’s get to the customer service. Each employee here treats you and shows you that they care about what your wants and needs are. They ask you questions and key you into details you could have missed. I had a conversation with the blonde employee and we talked for several minutes about the business and expansion of Crisp & Green. Then I came back the next night and got a BYO salad that was so delish!!!! Jacob helped me with the salad and he was so funny and sweet. He even said “go badgers” and I said “be careful, you’re in dangerous territory”. Anyways, let me get to back on the point. Some people will try and say that crisp and green is expensive, but I would mortgage a house or even sell a kidney to be able to eat their salads and drink their smoothies. Their smoothies are to die for because they don’t taste like Jamba Juice. I could tell there were no added sugars just from the first sip. And that’s not to say that their smoothies are bland either, they are so flavorful and packed with really good fruits and veggies. Plus, the smoothies are thicc and viscous. I am so depressed now, because I have to go back to Madison, where it is without the gourmet accomplishment that is Crisp & Green. Overall, I would eat Crisp & Green for the rest of my life and it would definitely be my last meal if I were on death row! ☺️
(P.S. I may end up in death row since I would literally kill...
Read moreI really enjoy Crisp and Green’s food. The food here was as if typically is but there were some inconsistencies with how much salad mix was added or chicken, the food was still good. When I went there other day the service was not great. I know it is a newly opened restaurant but I was unimpressed. The indoor and outdoor seating is nice. There is a little patio with a few tables, couches, and nice lighting. I enjoyed my time sitting outside. I asked to pay with my app which I just put money on and they told me that was not possible. The employees did not even try to figure out how I could pay with my app. They said I would need to use a different form of payment and then walked away to help the next person before my card had even gone through. I frequent the 50th & France Crisp and Green and when I am there they are able to accept payment on the app. There curbside pickup is very handy and is super convenient if scheduled ahead because they get very busy. There are three curbside pickup spots in front of the door. The app could use improvement when telling them you are here, I feel like I always end up calling because it never works. Overall the food is good but could use improved service which would make the customer experience so...
Read moreI finally went to Crisp & Green after resisting for 1.5 years. My rationale: how can any restaurant that sounds healthy be delicious? I’m sure it has something to do with my childhood filled with tasteless “healthy” meals of bran fiber and iceberg lettuce. On Tuesday of last week, I finally entered the premises due to time constraints and the convenient proximity to my condo. I was warmly welcomed and shown the “HOW TOs” by an enthusiastic smiley staff member. The Seoul Bowl filled my stomach and spirit with unforeseen delight. I went back on Thursday to recreate the experience with a friend and was not disappointed. The mushrooms were perfectly marinated, changing the texture to a plump chew. The tofu was as good as any chicken I have ever tasted. When I asked how the tofu was prepared, I learned that it was bathed in some kind of dreamy citrusy ginger magic. The combination of the spicy bibimbap & cashew dressing harmoniously brought all of the fresh ingredients together. I loved the balance of sweet and savory in this dish (echoes of many Korean recipes), with the vegetable crunchiness punctuating the creaminess. I left satiated and with a newly formed respect for...
