Last night when my friend and I went for a second round of drinks, one of the bartenders falsely accused my friend of having a fake 20 dollar bill and THREATENED TO CALL THE COPS. I believe my friend was racially profiled because the bartender did not actually check the bill. Apparently someone had been handing out fake money outside, so I understand some level of confusion. However, my friend had gotten this cash from an ATM and it was certainly real. He could have easily said “I’m sorry but we can’t take cash right now” if he didn’t know how to identify real money. Instead he immediately said “this is fake money” and when we questioned him he became extremely antagonistic and asked “do you want me to call the cops?” It was so horrible, confusing, and disorienting and made my friend cry. We saw one of the fake 20s on the floor later and it was extremely obvious that it was fake and nothing remotely similar to her real 20 bill, which he almost didn’t even give back to us until I demanded! The bartender left the bar and never came back or apologized. ALL of the other staff were kind and helpful explaining what had happened with the fakes from earlier and asking what they could do to help. It seemed like they recognized it was real but he may have been their boss. I’ve never been this disgusted with a business and I’ve never experience anything like this which is what leads me to believe it was...

This was my 2nd time at the Green Room. Both times I saw live music. I like the layout of the venue, but there are a couple simple things that could make it better. Drinks are expensive, even for Uptown. For example, $11 for a short Jameson Ginger Ale. Bartenders were friendly though. Last night we saw 3 local bands play, who we're friends with and have seen play multiple times at other venues. Unfortunately we didn't watch most of the show because we couldn't handle being inside for long, even with earplugs. Although, the sound inside the venue was mixed well, it was painfully loud. Even though we sat outside most of the show, we could still barely hear each other talking and had to yell. Another reason we chose to be outside is because it was a beautiful evening and it was way too hot inside...no AC or fans were rbalcony. It would be good to add some ceiling fans and/or industrial fans beside the stage to blow on the dance floor. My last suggestion would be to add more barstools around the balcony to provide seating for people who have mobility issues and can't stand for several hours. There were tables on the patio, which was nice. A lot of the chairs were stacked up in the corner though. I like the venue's overall vibe and feel like it has a lot of potential to become one of our local music scene's favorites with a couple small changes. I'm looking forward to seeing more music at...

First and likely only time I will attend this venue. Heard great things so I went ahead and bought tickets online for their Halloween event. Unfortunately when I arrived at the doors, I was told that my ticket had already been scanned. I had watched the individual in a Mickey Mouse mask scan my ticket, which went through, then rescan it again and say it couldn’t be scanned again. ??? I tried to explain that I’ve never been at the establishment before so it literally could not have been possible. Likely because they just scanned it twice in front of me. They said, “Cool, but I am not letting you in. Buy another ticket”. Keep in mind, I do not go by the name that was presented on my ticket (legal name), and I likely do not look like the name either, as I am transgender. After trying to explain for minutes that that is indeed me, and I presented matching identification, they still refused. Luckily one of the workers was super kind and listened to me and my explanation and let me in. However, after letting me in, the original individual in the mask said “I am going to keep an eye on you because of this”. Super disappointing, I can understand how legal names can be confusing, but outright refusing service and threatening/profiling is unprofessional and...

Spectacular venue. Green Room comes into play immediately upon entry. The greenery and tasteful lighting lend itself to all plant lovers. The check in was quick and efficient and then you are ON the dance floor which is spacious and comfortable and perfect sight lines to the stage. The stage is large and there are high back chairs and leaning rails around the dance floor. There are two bars, one on the first floor and one directly above the other on the second floor. Some fun books both on the 2nd floor balcony and in the GREAT ROOM. Which has more plants and a fantastic fireplace. There are comfy places to sit throughout the great room and an HD feed of the stage on TVs throughout if you can’t see the stage. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and made amazing food and drinks! The spicy cheese curds and cauliflower bites were superb. The band was tight and sounded fantastic throughout the venue. Highly recommended.

First time attending this smaller music venue. Saw hip hop acts Merkules and Ryan Oakes. Friendly staff helped keep the line moving when the doors opened. Smaller stage to the right soon after you walk in. There's a balcony etc. with a great view of the stage. I don't know if you pay extra for those seats or not though. Great venue for people who need to sit down for a show. A lot of "nooks and crannies" for people to stand to see the stage as well. I can't speak for the food, drinks, or bathrooms since I claimed a spot right in front because I had photo credentials and stayed there the whole night. Sound and lighting was good concert/ show wise. I recommend parking in the Mozaic parking ramp across the street. Parking will run you $12 for an entire night at the Green Room.

Have heard great things about this place and how it’s a good place for local music. They handled this situation very well. I wasnt able to attend a dance night with my mom and am 18 in three weeks. Bouncer proceeded to say “we can’t have a kid in here after ten o’clock” i even said that the policy needs to be changed in the website if that is truly the case. He explained that policy is for day shows and after ten is too late for me to be there. The show i was going to attend didn’t start till 10 pm and no where on their website does it say anything about it only being allowed during day shows. They refunded our tickets because of the inconvenience but overall left me kinda annoyed
