Went to Sonic last night and waited at least 15 minutes but never had a chance to order. We pushed the order button and the screen indicated that the call went through, but since no person actually responded (no "Welcome to Sonic"--nothing), we went ahead and pushed the call button again in case the people working did not see/hear it. Again, we waited and waited, and not only were we not asked what we wished to order, but no one even bothered to give us an estimated wait time. Mind you--at least 15 minutes and no one took our order! A car next to that pulled up shortly AFTER we arrived got their food almost immediately, so I presume they might have been picking up an online order. After that we never saw any other orders coming out to the other cars that were also there. You know, personally, I'm getting fed up with having to download a fricking app anytime I want to grab a quick snack or meal. Half the time we end up with cold food, missing items, or completely wrong orders. We ended up giving up and leaving. Went to a competing drive-in restaurant and had no issues ordering and receiving food. We literally live a couple of minutes away from the Mission Sonic, but constant problems with this location is starting to make this a place we will definitely avoid. Sonic used to be one of our favorite places. Between inconsistency with the food, and the non-service, we will not be back here, nor recommend this location...
Read moreI was doordashing tonight and got a ding for sonic. I immediately went there. I got there at 10:01 pm. The app said it would be out and ready at 10:12. I buzzed in and told them I was there for an order. They said it would be five minutes no one came out to me. At this time I was seeing people go home and new people get food before I did. I continued to be patient. I had seen a worker walk out and I asked what happened with my order. The guy walked in talked to his manager and said someone took the order I needed. But how I asked. I had seen a Asian man walk into the store when no one is supposed to walk in but employees. So I was lost. I had gotten there before him and he has taken a order. Anyway it took till 10:30 for the manager to come out and say she gave me the order when she never did. I asked her to make it. I then called doordash to see what to do. They told me that they would cancel the order. I answered questions they were amazing. The lady then takes 10 min to come back w the food I was supposed to have for the man. By that time the doordash lady cancelled the order so I got to have the meal. Even though the meal was free. I noticed something if this person I was supposed to deliver to got this meal it would be terrible the food was hard and cold. Not a good look. Read moreAs usual bad. I’m not sure if it the person who takes the order or the cook who can’t read. I ordered small onion rings, two foot long phillys, Plain, cheese only. I repeated it twice. A cheesburger 3 large limeades. I get my order $20.68 worth of food. I get home only to find both Phillys had onion and jalapeños on them. Back I go, mean while my onion I’m rings and cheeseburger is getting cold. I pull up at the drive , explained what the problem was and he offered to remake them. I repeated meat and cheese only. I guess I was hoping for a miracle they’d be correct. Nope. Full of onion, and I don’t like thingking they over salted them on purpose but we could not eat them. DJust a huge disappointment. To spend that much and not enjoy it I called ask to speak to the manager it sounded like a 12 year old trying to help me. All he said Sorry. I failed to mention my first trip over I pulled in the stall push the button no response. Sat there a few minutes pushed it again and a loud rude voice screamed out “ you have to order through the drive thru we ain’t got no carhops.” REALLY!
