Alchemy Tavern — Restaurant in Mobile

I’m shocked beyond belief This started off as a great experience bc the bar tender Sydney was very nice when we came in on a weekday,, She suggested we come bk to karaoke on the weekend as we did. So we come in on tonight, the crowd was very nice and club was great vibe. My friend and I and a random customer was sitting at bar trying to see what song we were going to sing, we were calibrating and passing phone back and Forth putting the phones to our ear listening to each others suggestions , then we finally came to an agreement and the customer went to request song and sign us up. The Bar tender Daniel , with a very busy bar approached my Friend and I and leaned in and says Yall don’t do that , I responded, “Do What” he said , “ play yall music on the phone bc it’s loud.” My mouth dropped and I said huh, say what, he said don’t play Yall music, tell me how an iPhone is louder than a dj and club speaker thats blasting loud enough to hear in the street. I was Flabbergasted!!!!! So respectfully , I was like please explain what’s the problem, he disregarded me and said it don’t matter dont play your phone. So it’s obvious this was Straight Racism and Discrimination,, oh did I mentioned he waited till the nice caucasian male went to request song before he approached me, when he was the main one playing songs to see what karaoke song we liked, so when I questioned bar tender politely and said what was the real problem bc that don’t make sense he disregarded me walked away and told security to put us out, First and last time but I’m sure they don’t care bc clearly we as in Yall ain’t welcomed in the...

All my life I have been searching for the location of the fountain of youth. I don’t think Alchemy Tavern is that location; but it is far better! This place is the perfect blend of comfort and class. It has all the high end booze while still having the awesome deals and beer specials. Their bartenders are the most personable yet talented blend of industry professionals I have ever come across. Even the bouncer gave me a warm sense of belonging. Like that uncle that makes you feel safe while still being way more fun than your parents. They have concerts and other awesome entertainment including karaoke and trivia.. but not just or average karaoke or trivia... it’s a cut above. The karaoke specifically is led by an MC who should have his one television show. If you haven’t yet visited this center of the universe, then you should really ask yourself what you’ve been doing with your life.... get over there now for a dram if whiskey or a shot of tequila. It’s truly a life...

Very dissatisfied Just moved here and I found my new bar hangout I tried many places definitely my favorite(EDIT I WAS GETTING HARRASSED BY A GROUP TO push me off the pool table yelling at me received no help from staff even when a girl tried fighting me)just for not giving them the table IN THE MIDDLE OF MY GAME? I really like this place but almost feels unsafe.....got trapped in the bathroom they broke in my door an almost got jumped the group noted they go every weekend so I won't be going any weekend again sadly it's a bummer because I thought I found a good chill spot I didn't even get to see the band.... I mean the place itself is amazing and I had no problem when I went on a weekday this was byfar the worst experience I've had in any establishment... Very scary...
