We rented this place for a bridal shower and was not aware children would not be allowed. Now don’t get me wrong, I understand this place is a “bar” - but when you rent out a private room for an event at 2pm during the day, you would think your family would be allowed to come in. My sister drove an hour with her 2 children (7 month old & a 6 year old). As soon as we walked in, they kicked her and the kids out. Annoying, but we weren’t going to let it ruin our day. So we took turns standing outside with the babies as it was still a pretty day and felt good outside. The 6 year old needed to go potty, so I go inside and ask the bar tender if she can at least use the restroom. Without hesitation, his answer was no. When I asked where he would like the child to use the bathroom, he told me we could walk a couple doors down to Wintzells. Literally blows my mind. Like I said, I understand that it is technically a bar. But it was a private event (that we paid for) on a chill Saturday afternoon. Post definitely needs to disclose that before renting out the space. Aside from them being jerks over the children, I wasn’t all that impressed with the venue anyways. The room for the party was extremely small, we were pretty crammed in there. The bathrooms were also in the event room, so it was awkward when customers kept coming in and out of our event to use the bathrooms. They also would not lend us another table when we asked for one. Overall - terrible customer service &...

I had an incredible night out at POST and I can’t wait to go back! This place is a hidden gem in the city. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a beautifully designed space that effortlessly blends modern chic with cozy comfort.

The bartenders at POST are true artists. They craft cocktails with precision and flair. I tried the Watermelon Mule, and it was a revelation—innovative, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. They also offer a diverse selection of craft beers and artisanal spirits, so there’s something for every palate.

What really stood out was the service. The staff were not only friendly but also genuinely passionate about their craft. They took the time to chat and make recommendations, ensuring that everyone at the table was happy with their drinks and enjoying their time.

The bar also features a small but impressive menu of appetizers and snacks. The pizza was a delicious surprise—fresh, flavorful, and a perfect pairing with the drinks.

The vibe at Post is both lively and laid-back, striking the perfect balance between energy and relaxation. Whether you’re in the mood for an intimate conversation or a fun night out with friends, this bar delivers on all fronts.

In short, Post has quickly become one of my favorite spots in town. If you’re looking for exceptional cocktails, excellent service, and a great atmosphere, you absolutely need to check...

Server spilt a tray of 5+ drinks on top of me. Never apologized. Offered to clean the table but didn’t offer me any help. I am not one to complain and politely asked the bartender if I could get a discount on the drink that I ordered. The bartender blamed me for the drinks spilling and asked if I was the one who spilt the drink. I was not, the server placed on glass on the table and leaned over and the other 4 drinks went toppling over onto me. I would have no complaints if they would have at least offered to take the drink off of my tab. The server came back with a VERY rude attitude and said she could only offer 10% off the “2” drinks that were spilt when we all knew it was 5 drinks. I asked if there was anyway I could receive the discount because I was the only one affected by the spill and she rudely said no. The waitress said “it was an accident, it happens”. Another patron overheard our conversation and stated that when she worked as a server, accident or not, spilling food/drink on a customer meant no charge. Both bartender and server were extremely disrespectful, server stayed inside, hitting her vape rather than apologizing for her actions. I have been to the post before and had a very positive experience but was extremely disappointed by this interaction. I should have gotten the name of the employee but I will be calling for...

POST is my favorite spot downtown for so many reasons! First & foremost, the staff are incredible! Everyone is so inviting, friendly, and knowledgeable — always open to offer suggestions when you aren’t sure what you want. Every cocktail is well-made — my favorites are the St. Francis, Double-Crossed, and Here Comes the Sun! It’s even better that their food is tasty too! The 504 POST Toast/pizza? *chef’s kiss* The Veggie Spring Rolls & Blackened Seared Tuna are my favorite shareables! Monday nights, they offer “Paint & Sip” and it’s fun to bring some friends, chill, and enjoy Happy Hour! The atmosphere is always perfect for a night out no matter what day of the week it is!

I take satisfaction in being someone that people can turn to for recommendations, particularly for the greatest quality food and drinks. For years, Post has been a favorite of mine. One of only two specialty cocktail establishments in downtown Mobile that offers amazing beverages. They are continuously hosting events and updating their seasonal menus to ensure that you get the most entertainment and satisfaction possible. When you enter through the door, their fabulous team members always greet you with a smile and a warm welcome. Post is a must-see for everyone visiting or living in Downtown Mobile!

We tried to come here once before and they were packed. This time we arrived early on a Friday, right after they opened. The bartenders were very friendly and we talked to them about the area while they made us some delicious cocktails. We would gladly come here again, but maybe not if they were super crowded, because I liked the laid back, not busy vibe. They have outdoor seating areas in the front and back, as well as a room off to the side that looked like you could spread out. So I could also see snagging one of those areas and hanging out with friends on a nice day.
