La Delicia Mexican Brunch & Cantina — Restaurant in Mobile

I cannot rave enough about La Delicia Mexican Brunch! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was outstanding. The staff took their time with us, never making us feel rushed, and they patiently explained every option on the menu. Their kindness and attentiveness made the experience even better.

The food itself is incredible—savory, flavorful, and truly authentic Mexican. I was thrilled to see chilaquiles offered at a sit-down restaurant (a rare find!), and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. They even have conchas (traditional Mexican sweet bread), including a fun twist with stuffed conchas.

The restaurant is gorgeous, the plates are generous, and the prices—around $12–$15 per dish—are very reasonable for the quality and experience. They offer both brunch and lunch, and it’s definitely a place worth visiting.

There were so many good options where this isn't a place I would get stuck ordering the same thing. Pricing was reasonably where 2 meals + 2 alcoholic drinks came out to under $50.

Steak and brilla were done well, not overdone or cheap like what sometimes happens at places like this. Chips were puffy and chrispy. They could lay slightly off the lime in the salsa verde but other than that, I appreciate that they were heavy on the sauce/salsa and that it was not bland.

I can't remember what my husband got but he's hard to impress and loved his coffee drink. He said that they weren't shy on the alcohol and the cinnamon was a nice touch. Bloody Maria was solid, but didn't stand out. The spices were good but felt like it was missing something.

We may skip trying somewhere new and just come back....

We stopped in for drinks and lunch at La Delicia and it exceeded all of our expectations!! I cannot recommend enough if you are in the Mobile area. The vibe of the restaurant is fun and the whole atmosphere was a great experience. We tried several different margaritas and all were incredible!!!!!! Specifically the mango house margarita, the flaming jalapeño margarita, and the lavender margarita. Lily was an awesome bartender and made sure we were taken care of. The food was delicious. We tried the Cajun shrimp minichangas, quesabirria tacos, and the enchiladas. All were insanely good - the Cajun shrimp minichangas blew our mind they were so delicious. We can’t wait to go back.
