Had the pleasure of visiting this little gem while downtown on a lunch date with the Mrs. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and feel of the inside. The staff was courteous and promptly sat us down. I was pleased to see a short menu of options that cut my decision making time in half! We started off with the Yuzu Marg, which I found very refreshing and crisp. My wife ordered the Good Luck Chuck which she found to be the perfect level of sweet, and “served in a cute cup!” We ordered the J. F. C as our app. I loved the light breading on the chicken, along with the cool pickled onions. The sauce was good, but we felt more could have been added to lift the flavor further. Overall delicious. We also ordered a mix of the Bao Buns. We chose the chicken kaarage and Banh Mi Smash. We absolutely loved, LOVED the Chicken Kaarage. The chicken was the same as in the J. F. C. but covered in a delicious cilantro lime ranch sauce, which when combined with the pickled cucumbers and the subtle hint of sweet chili was PERFECTION!!! the Banh Mi Smash patty was delicious and had a perfect crunch in a smash patty, but we weren’t fans of the pickled carrots, seems like they simply didn’t brine long enough so they weren’t very pickled, more on the raw side. We wrapped up the meal with The Spicy Red Miso & The Dirty Dan Dan. I ordered the spicy red miso, I loved the flavor of the broth and the heat level. Not too spicy and not too mild, just right. The shredded pork was delicious and paired well with the kimchi and pickled onions, combined it was culinary poetry. My wife ordered the Dirty Dan and she found it to be very flavorful, she especially enjoyed the ground pork and Tasso ham in the dish. This dish does not feature any broth, so if you’re looking for something to slurp with your noodles this isn’t it, but if you’re looking for fire noodles this is for you. All in all, great food, great vibes, and a welcomed new category to the Mobile gastronomy.

Seems like it has potential, but it is about what I expected from a ramen shop in Mobile. The bao and the JFC were amongst the best things that we had. We got the chicken kaarage bao and the pork belly. Both were pretty good. For ramen, we tried the Slurp OG and the Battleship Curry ramen. Egg was cooked nicely and the broth was pretty good on the Battleship, but noticed there wasn’t a ton of broth in the bowl. Collards seemed out of place. Slurp OG ramen-subbed with veggie broth, no egg. Collards were cooked aight, but if they were seasoned, I couldn’t tell. They seemed a bit out of place with the pickled onions and pork belly bc they didn’t share a flavor with either of those to me. Only two scrumps of pork belly, so I ordered an additional two for $4. They were charred nicely. The broth was okay, but everything just left me wanting more. It just wasn’t quite fully there for me. They do welcome kids, but if your kids are picky, def wouldn’t recommend it. If your kids think black pepper is spicy, not the place for them lol. They did get my order wrong the first time and I have an allergy so always be sure to double check your food. They remade it for me after I sent it back without a problem, so appreciated there. The only photo I snagged was of the dessert, the PB&J confection called “Happy Endings,” which the kids enjoyed. Otherwise, the end photo is of the JFC and the drink menu, which I wish we got to try! My husband and I both agreed that we’ve had better ramen and udon at home 😕 Hope we can go back and try the other dishes when we go to Mobile. ✌🏽

Wife and I went for the first time this past weekend and our expectations were exceeded! Fantastic food, super cool atmosphere, and very personable service! Highly recommend visiting! One note: parking right by the restaurant is virtually non-existent, but there is cheap parking not too far away just north on Royal St. It also isn't in the busier part of downtown so you shouldn't have any difficulty getting there and parking unless there is a huge event. Our order included the Slurp O.G. noodles, one of the most popular menu items. Great flavor, plenty of toppings, and a perfectly-cooked egg. We went with the default meat (roasted pork belly) which was very good, but that can probably be replaced by another meat like chicken kaarage if that's more your speed. We also decided to go here because of it being Mobtown Burger Week. Slurp Society decided to participate with the K-MAC Burger, consisting of a wagyu beef patty, roasted kimchi and special sauce, pepperjack cheese (which we declined due to being picky), onion, and pickles on a pretzel bun. I was hesitant at first as I had never tried kimchi but was pleasantly surprised as the combination of toppings on the burger worked so well together. There is a burger on the regular menu that sounds somewhat similar so I would highly recommend trying it!

I came at 7:23 PM, and it was almost closing time, but I never received my food. I got tired of waiting and dealing with that nonsense, so I left. If you want mediocre service, then come here. I was telling so many people about this place and planning to come back with family and friends, but never mind. I’ve never left a restaurant without getting my food before, but that was ridiculous. They need to hire people who are respectful and professional. The host for the comedy show was friendlier than the waitress. I can completely understand why there aren't many people that look like me at this restaurant. This was the most disappointing experience ever, and it was my first and last time coming here. I’m glad I came by myself. I’m a foodie, and a lot of my peers know that I suggest the best spots for food. I told so many people about this place, and we were going to come as a group, but I wanted to experience it first. Now, I’m going to let all my family and friends know to never come here. So thank you for saving me and so many people some money. The amount of time it took to get a menu, for someone to take my order, and wait time on food.. no ma’am. There were literally people in the audience complaining and rolling their eyes. Customers who were there before me, got their food 30 mins into the time I was there… I’m not sure why their rating is so high. But maybe they are only kind to certain people 🤷🏾‍♀️. I noticed that they don’t even have one black staff employee.. But if you like racism and prejudice people, come here 🙂. I’ve been to much more high end places than this with more customers and I’ve never had to wait this long for food. I’m shocked and disappointed. I could have ordered a pizza and it would have came faster. I literally went to the restaurant next door and received my food faster. So the waitress there enjoyed her $15. 🙂🤣 and to that bottom of the barrel witch with a B. I hope you have a terrible night and I hope all of the booties that you were kissing tonight don’t tip your a… because karma is a bleep.. also the waitress didn’t clean the tables between customers. They also had chopsticks wrapped in a paper towel sitting on the table.. anyways can breathe, touch, or use your stuff before you use them.. a lot of the paper towels looked gross/used. They also put your straw in the glass for you which is so unsanitary. The chairs are hard wooden chairs that uncomfortable especially after waiting 30+ mins for noodles.. YALL PLEASE CHECK THE ONE STAR REVIEWS BEFORE COMING HERE.. Added due to respond received: the fact the response to my complaint included nothing but excuses proves my point. I said what I said and I know what I experienced. Like I said before do not come to this location. The customer service is terrible and based on the owners response, they do not value their customers.. they just make excuses. If y’all do comedy night every week, you should know how to manage by now. It’s called professionalism and proper planning. And still no response was made on why the waiter keep putting other people’s food on my table.. that’s very rude and unprofessional. You all know DANG WELL that’s not right! That was never addressed because yall refuse to take accountability. Also, they lady came to my table ONCE to give me the water and never checked out me again the whole night. The only time I saw her is when she put her tray of OTHER PEOPLES FOOD, on my table. At the end of the day, I’m not only person saying this.. check the one star reviews. I wish I would have before coming here… ALSO you guys have CAMERAS, if I’m lying roll the tape back.. because camera don’t lie.. like I said she didn’t check on me the entire night. She only went to certain tables. “Period” also notice how yall haven’t responded to the other one star reviews that was more recent than...

We've been going to Slurp Society since it was at its old location, then when they moved in 2024 to their current location and now that they're under new ownership and a new menu. It's not the same quality, level of flavor, atmosphere, or service. It's become bland and trying to coast off the name. Today we went to try the new menu after the change. The order was Gumbo Dumplings, 2 Thai Fire Margaritas, 3 BYO Ramen, and 1 Dirty South Noods. We were served another tables Boo-Dan Eggroll and they received our Gumbo Dumplings. After the fact we realized... they ate one of the five dumpling and we were given the plate of four that was left... were kind of sick over this. We had ordered the Thai Fire Margaritas, in the past their drinks of been... of a normal portion size. And now they have a sign behind the bar saying there's at least 1.5 ounces of alcohol in their drinks. Well this $15 Margarita was all of 2 oz in the smallest margarita glass I've ever seen.. EDIT* In response to Chef Tyler, the problem with the drink wasn't that it only had 1.5 oz of liquor it was that it was only 2 oz of liquid for $15. And we weren't aware the other table had already had their hands in our food eating it till we realized the Gumbo Dumplings are served as 5 not 4... after checking your reviews and seeing your responses are all pointing the finger at your customer instead of owning the problem.* The Ramen was bland, weather you chose the pork, the spicy miso, etc. It's like flavor gentrified. We had ordered an extra egg in two orders of the Ramen but apparently a whole soft boiled egg, like it used to be, is now a half hard boiled egg. The JFC chicken is no longer and exciting addition to bowls but large, oddly chunked, chicken thigh meat with no notable seasoning. In the end this bill was $120 before tip and not worth the cost or the disappointment. Even with Chef Tyler randomly dropping off a mother's day mimso fusion test drink thing. It didn't save the atmosphere. It used to feel like special place, with care. Now it's trying too hard. Please don't offer VIP treatment to correct this. It's not worth...

Absolutely terrible service. We were one of the only tables in the restaurant—we were just a two-top, with a few other small parties scattered around—so it was baffling that it took 20 minutes just to place a drink and appetizer order. Not exactly a busy night.

We ordered the Brussels sprouts to start. They were crispy and had good potential, but there was barely any aioli on them, which made the dish feel incomplete and unsatisfying.

My boyfriend got the Laughing Lemonade—tasty, but small for $10. I ordered a mocktail, the Dirty Redbull with lychee, and was genuinely excited to try it. But I never even got the drink. It simply never came, and no one followed up so I unfortunately can not say anything about that drink.

Our server, Tara, was rushing us from the moment she finally did come over—pushing to take drink, app, and entree orders all at once, even after we politely asked for a bit more time. When we got our build-your-own ramen bowls, they were delicious, but the oils were swapped—mine had chili oil when I requested garlic, and my boyfriend’s bowl had no spice when he asked for chili. I didn’t mind the heat, but he was visibly disappointed and wanted to ask for chili oil to fix it. Too bad our server never came back.

No “How’s everything tasting?”, no “Can I get you anything else?”, no check-ins at all until it was time to bring the check—by which point we had already been waiting 10 extra minutes post-meal, visibly done and clearly irritated. We watched her check on every other table but ours multiple times.

I truly hate not leaving a tip, especially because I work in the service industry myself. But this was the worst service I’ve ever received. Zero acknowledgment, rushed attitude, incorrect orders, and being completely ignored.

This was my third time here—and unfortunately, even under new management, it’s consistently disappointing. Tara, if you’re reading this, please know: ignoring a table because they “look young” or you assume they won’t tip is the fastest way to guarantee you won’t get one. We didn’t even get a greeting or your name—we only found it on the...
