Good food but unfortunately not disability friendly or wheelchair accessible, i dont think i will be returning. Very disappointing since I had a better experience in the past.
Me and my partner who uses a wheelchair came to the restaurant, but unfortunately he had to wait outside in the cold because there was no ramp in front, and a giant snowman was blocking the way with several marbles on the pathway.
I went inside and ordered two pupusas and suggested that they should have a ramp outside or move the snowman because it is not wheelchair accessible. Instead of being apologetic he told me there was a ramp on the other side of the walkway, several stores down. I told him customers should not have to go all that way just to go inside the restaurant and that they would get more business from people that use wheelchairs and the disability community if they made the front accessible. I was very polite but he seemed upset with my suggestions
I am so glad I checked my wallet because I gave the man a $20 bill, I only realized later than he gave me $2 change back, shorting me $10. I only remembered last minute and he didn't give me a receipt so I went and asked for one because I should have gotten much more change back. He gave me some attitude and then gave me a 10 dollar bill back.
When we finally got our food he asked again if we wanted to eat inside, I said no. Due to the bad service and lack of accessibility we did not feel welcome.

Read moreI’m not really a writer of reviews, but I felt it necessary to highlight how cool this place is and how delicious their burgers are. From the outside it’s hard to tell just how much character and charm awaits you inside. But as soon as you step through the doors the nostalgia washes over you like a warm hug. They clearly put effort into decorating using many vintage posters from different time periods ranging from old books, to rock posters and classic cars and a little 8 track player tucked away in a rustic looking cabinet. However, the main reason to visit a place like this goes beyond it’s charm. The burgers are delicious. I had a simple old fashioned double cheeseburger and it was freaking delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection, not to crisp and not too squishy, just right! Their fries are also delicious and they give them in heaping helpings. If you find yourself in Monterey and are craving a good old fashioned burger with a burst of nostalgia, this is the...
Read moreVibe inside was fantastic. Loved the music playing and the decoration. It was a busy day in Monterey and I was uneasy about this place since it was empty. Food was sub par. Ordered my kids chicken nuggets and they were grocery store dino-nuggets way over priced. Burger was way too expensive. There was a Hispanic gentleman there, seemed as if he didn’t wanna be there. We asked for ranch and he says, “for what?” Asked for water, looked at us like we were stupid. Then, food came out and the dude was moving in slow motion getting condiments and what not. Let’s not forget that customers pay for EXCELLENT service. So if you provide poor service, expect poor tip. Dont give a bad look if your ethic proved you didn’t deserve a good tip. Maybe work on your customer service skills, be more inviting, and leave if you don’t want to work there. If he was the manager, then that place is...
