Ordered a bowl, and server smears a spoon full of beans to cover bottom of bowl, I asked for a little more, have to charge you more, dump some rice and smeared it over the beans, puts a tong full of carnitas, cheese was extra a table spoon of sour cream, table spoon of guacamole. It didn't even come with lettuce, had to pay more for salsa. It didn't even come half way up the container that was 3 inches high 7 to 8 inches long oval shaped. It tasted great but to not give a little extra beans which hardly cost anything and no salsa or cheese have to pay extra. I didn't tip her and wouldn't recommend to go there. And the lose of business just because she was selfish. It would have cost Penny's to make me happy, and their business will suffer lose of dollars. And she didn't get a tip and I'm a good tipper cause I've been a server for more years than...
Read moreThe express option was similar to the way Chipotle is set up, but that's the end of any similarity. The rice and refried beans were so flavorful. The barbacoa was perfectly cooked as the fat just melted across my tongue. The chile verde was just a bit spicy to me; others might have considered it too spicy, but the pork chunks were a perfect texture in a delicious and savory green chile sauce. I loved that they had cabbage as a topping along with 4 salsas and nonspicy pico de gallo. The servers were great, efficient and helpful. Not the best Mexican I've had, but for a little express takeout place it was in the top 30%. Would totally recommend you check...

So what’s the point in being open if you can’t serve customers what you are selling? I had just bought tortillas (for $10 I won’t buy them again) from them and even offered to let them use those ones for my burritos and they still said no. Left very disappointed and won’t return for some time. Also horchata are 4.50 for a medium cup ands the powder not handmade. Another place opened on Lighthouse Ave. called Mission Taqueria 19. I highly recommended trying them out as they have just as good quality of food but more...
