Decent nachos but unacceptable service. Figures that a place called Nacho Bizness is a little sassy. Maybe it is, after all, not my bizness.
Atmosphere Fine. There are a few high top tables for groups and a longer bar-like table against a wall. The setup is pretty standard, and it has an open kitchen, which leads me to…
Service So there were 4 people in front of me. All of them except for one ordered nachos. The odd man out ordered a burrito. I, too, ordered nachos. Maybe I was HANGRY but it took way too long to take the orders and to have them assembled. Two people were preparing the nachos and there was one guy on the grill, grilling the meats. The grill guy was doing great, but the other two? Nah. Several times, they would stand around and chat with each other, and for a good 5 minutes, one of them was just looking at their phone. Feels like they need to be retrained. I’ve never seen anything like this at an eating establishment, where customers are waiting on food and the staff is just chillin. It’s nachos. You just throw tortilla chips in a paper vessel, ladle some cheese sauce on, throw on some meat, and call it a day. It shouldn’t take 20 minutes to make 4 orders.
Service: Part 2 What’s worse is that I nudged one of the workers after 15 minutes by politely asking if they had a status on my food and the response wasn’t patience, it wasn’t apologetic, and it certainly wasn’t professional. The worker aggressively pulled down my receipt from the order queue and grumbled ‘here it is’ before begrudgingly starting to make the non-complicated order, finally. When I did get my food, I finally got a “sorry for the wait” but still. This is why I dislike giving a tip before I actually get the service.
Food Rants aside, the nachos are decent. I can’t say they’re the best I’ve had in my life, but they’re solid. I’ve had better nachos in LA and San Diego. Plain and simple: I had The Bizness with al pastor and I enjoyed it. I’ll leave it at that.
Recommend? Maybe I caught them on an off day.

Read moreAbsolutely amazing from a simplistic menu. We ordered the Phife, a beautiful macho-nacho combination of all their side options, and the Mac Bowl, mac n cheese with your choice of toppings- we chose pico de gallo and Carne asada. And lemme tell you, having the Phife gave you an implosive stride across all their meats, cheeses, and side options with a flared sprinkle of Cotija all over. Yet. Not one flavor disagreed with one another. Which is surprising for overloaded nachos. That alone shows the excellence of their individual recipes. The meats, too, showed no hints of dryness. Included an eery tenderness that sensually marinated your tongue's pallete. Chopped tiny so no bite goes empty. My only gripe is the cheese seeps to the bottom making a cheesy swamp. So start from the bottom to maintain that yummy tortilla CRONCH! The Mac Bowl on the other hand tasted well with the Jack cheese topped with a meager amount of carne asada and pico de gallo. I despised the idea of pico de gallo but it surprised me. Adding a faint tang I didnt know would go so well, and due to the low viscosity of the cheese the macaroni never felt engulfed in dairy. Rather, it gave the opportunity of a light taste or a chance to stir for more. All in all. Why you still reading...
Read moreNot a sports person by any means, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I first walked into a bunch of men clad in Jerseys very loudly watching sports. I think the owner was apart of the group based on an individual thanking people for coming in when they left, except us. I will say though whoever is in the back making their food is beyond awesome. I've eaten more nachos than l'd like to admit in my life, and this massive, Loaded nachos with jalapeño cheese and Carne Asada with extra Gauc, (which I probably didn't need to ask for extra, there was PLENTY. I'm just used to always having to ask for it. Not necessarily with this restaurant which is amazing) was I think the best nachos I've ever had. The girl wearing a mask that took our order was tired but very sweet in answering my questions, and went straight to cleaning a table and spots on the floor after taking our order. This crew here works hard and I freaking loved my food. Edit: I'm sortof shocked after reading other reviews. Our wait wasn't long at all and the meat to topping ratio was on-point. Seeing 19 for the nachos I ordered? Was com worth the price. If I lived here I'd be here...
