Nico’s Ice Cream — Restaurant in Monterey

My husband and I had been meaning to try Nico’s since they opened, and we are so glad we finally did! When we walked in, the young lady behind the counter was very welcoming and helpful. She gave us some suggestions and explained the ice cream to us.

We decided to share a blackberry with coconut flakes. It was SO good! We both were expecting it to be tart and more like a sorbet, but it was very creamy. It was very vanilla-y and sweet with a touch of blackberry. The coconut was toasted and crunchy. It was some of the best ice cream we’ve ever had, and both of us prefer chocolate sweets over fruity. We are sold and are going to be stopping...

Started coming here a few weeks ago and have recommended to everyone we know! Seriously delicious ice cream, every flavor we’ve tried has been fantastic. Tropical Thursdays were a great surprise too - be sure to check out their awesome other flavors! The pineapple and banana are to-die-for. I live in Portland, Oregon and I was pleasantly shocked when I stumbled across one of my favorite ice cream shops from Portland now in Monterey, California!

The service at Nico’s is always warm and welcoming, and their fresh New Zealand style ice cream is always incredibly delicious!

I am so proud to see a PDX staple branching off to new markets!
