Started coming here a few weeks ago and have recommended to everyone we know! Seriously delicious ice cream, every flavor we’ve tried has been fantastic. Tropical Thursdays were a great surprise too - be sure to check out their awesome other flavors! The pineapple and banana are to-die-for. This little ice cream shop is a great addition to our Monterey community. Cool for locals and tourists alike. Everyone there has been super nice and kind too :)

I live in Portland, Oregon and I was pleasantly shocked when I stumbled across one of my favorite ice cream shops from Portland now in Monterey, California! The service at Nico’s is always warm and welcoming, and their fresh New Zealand style ice cream is always incredibly delicious! I am so proud to see a PDX staple branching off to new markets! If you’re in Monterey/Carmel area, be sure to stop by for some fresh ice cream!

We tried to go out and support our new local Nico's Ice Cream. The hours online say they are open from 12 noon - 9pm Daily. The same hours are posted on the door. We arrived at 6pm this evening to find it closed with a sign saying they would be back by 6:10pm. Ok no biggie we'll wait. Come 7pm we decide to just call it a night. Very disappointing. Hope to catch them open during buisness hours at some point.

The service at Nico’s is always warm and welcoming, and their fresh New Zealand style ice cream is always incredibly delicious! I am so proud to see a PDX staple branching off to new markets! My husband and I had been meaning to try Nico’s since they opened, and we are so glad we finally did! When we walked in, the young lady behind the counter was very welcoming and helpful. She gave us some suggestions and explained the ice cream to us.

We decided to share a blackberry with coconut flakes. It was SO good! We both were expecting it to be tart and more like a sorbet, but it was very creamy. It was very vanilla-y and sweet with a touch of blackberry. The coconut was toasted and crunchy. It was some of the best ice cream we’ve ever had, and both of us prefer chocolate sweets over fruity. We are sold and are going to be stopping...
