HIGHLY dissatisfied with the manager/ owners (?) hospitality and customer service. We’ve eaten here once before and the food was wonderful. The service could’ve used some work but we disregarded that when we got our food. Although we don’t serve anymore, my fiancé and I individually have at least 8 years of serving experience and WOULD NEVER treat our guest as we have been treated. We both understand that restaurants are short right now, but that’s no excuse to have a nasty attitude towards us, or act like we’re less than, for something YOUR restaurant couldn’t handle. We ordered our meal on Pomodoros website. We were told that it would be delivered in about an hour. After about 40 minutes we received a text (from DoorDash, the third party delivery service they use) that our order had been cancelled by the restaurant. So then, of course, I called the restaurant. A disgustingly cocky, arrogant man picked up and proceeded to talk over me throughout the whole conversation. We were then on our way to Pomodoros location in Mooresville. I called door dash to see if they might be able to work out this conflict since the person that i originally spoke to pawned it off as a ‘DoorDash’ issue. Once we arrived at the restaurant we asked for the manager. Conveniently it was the same little grumpy man I spoke to on the phone. He first claimed that he wasn’t able to refund our money because it was a DoorDash problem. After bringing to his attention that i had already spoken to DoorDash, and DoorDash told me that Pomodoro’s would have to refund me because we went through THEIR WEBSITE and paid the restaurant directly, he was simply ‘too busy’ at that time to refund our money. At this point my fiancé looks around and asks the man (which we’re assuming is the owner, because neither of us have ever worked in an environment where an owner would allow a manager to act so disrespectfully to their customers) if the customers dining in the restaurant were more important than us. He then insinuated that since we had ‘cancelled’ our order that we were in fact, less important. This really confused me, because we didn’t cancel our order. Pomodoro’s claimed that DoorDash had canceled the order, but when i called DoorDash it had been canceled by the restaurant…? My fiancé and I have never been as dissatisfied in customer service as we are with Pomodoro’s. We’re not only dissatisfied because we waited 40 minutes only for our order to be ‘cancelled’ last minute with no word from the restaurant, but appalled at the way we were treated when only trying to get our money back for an order we never received. If they’re going to offer a delivery service they need to be able to provide the services that...
Read moreTonight, despite the warning from my husband to not go there because it would take forever, my family of 4 decided to dine with Pomodoro’s because I was craving Italian and we had a coupon. The ONLY reason I’m giving the place 1 star instead of claiming 0 stars is because the food was very good. The service however was abysmal. And let me begin by saying there was a sufficient amount of staff tonight on the floor. Ok, so we had to wait 5-10 minutes for them to seat us—so what? We didn’t have a reservation so I didn’t care. But once we sat down it took our waitress about 10 minutes to come by and take our drink order and even acknowledge us. My husband ordered a beer that took 5-10 minutes for her to come back and tell him she was out of. She asked him for a second AND THIRD choice, and finally returned well after our drinks were out with his third choice beer. After that, about 10-15 mins to get bread. She took our order without writing it down, which I have much respect for staff that can execute this skill well, but when she came back with our salads (about 10-15 minutes later) she had to rehash our order with us. (And my son’s salad didn’t arrive with the first two and was an additional 5-10 minutes later). FORTY-FIVE minutes later our food came with not one “Can I refill your drinks?”, or “can I bring you some more bread while you wait?”, or “It seems to be taking the food a while to come out tonight. I’ll have it out to you as soon as possible” in between. Not a wink. Not a smile. Not a #%@& you. I know our waitress saw us sitting there the whole time because I made eye contact with her. Such a blatant disregard for her job and taking care of the customer should not be tolerated by management. The manager never even came out to check on us for service recovery. A very faint, insincere, watered-down “Thank you” could be heard behind the front desk as we left. According to my Life360, we were there for 1hr 54mins for bread, salad and a main course . (No appetizer. No dessert.) To be sure, our family will NOT be returning to this restaurant. ...
Read moreRoaches ! Cold food! Awful service ! What a Tremendous disappointment. I Ordered a large take out meal for our family to celebrate Valentine's Night together and our food was all inedible!! The Sicilian pie was all smashed with the cheese stuck to the box, I wouldn't have eaten it anyway since the cheese was barely cooked and thrown onto gross bread. The eggplant entree consisted of ONE barely cooked piece of crusty looking eggplant over hard spaghetti with nasty smelling sauce and of course chunky cheese that was not melted. The pasta with vodka sauce wasn't large enough to feed an infant! let alone an adult, and if all of that want enough to convince you not to order from this place.. there was a dead bug in my child's dish ! 🤮 I called to share this lovely experience with them, and was told to call DoorDash and complain to them ! You can imagine how frustrating that was to hear, especially since I ordered straight from the restaurant. No where on my order did it say my food was being delivered by a third party/ No where on their website does it say that they use a third party! I think we deserve the right as customers to know who is delivering our food, and furthermore whichever service they use is not responsible for the quality of the food I received. I have no confirmation from DoorDash, I have only emails and texts from Pomodoros themselves. They are unwilling to help accommodate me in anyway or even offer and apology for ruining our Valentine's Day ! The girl who answered the phone was extremely unprofessional & rude. She said that there is no manger here tonight, I'd have to call back "during the day sometime" and hung up on me. Wow ! Just wow ! By the way this is the first review I've ever written in my 38 years of life....
