Big Times — Restaurant in Morgantown

I was back in town after a few years living all over the place, and a friend decided we should go check out Big Times. II was excited, probably because I remember Big Times before the new ownership and staff. As it currently sits, this HAS to be the worst bar in Morgantown. It is certainly the worst bar I've been to, there or anywhere else. To make a long story short, I tipped my bartender early in the evening, in cash, so I wouldn't drink too much and inadvertently leave without tipping later. I've worked in bars before, seen that done, and even done it a few times myself. It's not cool. So, anyway, when it's time to cash out, I sign my tab (with no tip, as I've already tipped around 40% of the total in cash earlier). The female bartender, who was not the bartender earlier in the evening when I paid the cash tip, "called me out" loudly in front of the whole bar, accusing me of not leaving a tip. At that point, she had rallied the whole bar against me and two patrons in particular became really loud and aggressive toward me. It was getting to the point that I felt threatened, like I was going to be attacked by the entire bar. I walked out, while a few drunk people shouted insults toward me for no reason, and I will NEVER return to this dump again. New ownership should clean house with regard to staff, because your reputation takes further damage every day. Don't believe me - just read the other Google reviews here since...

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOURE A WOMAN!!! I went out With my friends as I would usually do during spring break I went up to the bar to get drinks on my friends tab and a gentleman asked if he could buy me a drink I politely declined and walked away and before I knew it the male bartender was running up to me and started screaming in my face calling me very disrespectful names. The gentleman that I rejected drinks from told the bartender that I was harassing him and that I needed to be kicked out! I asked if I could defend myself because I talked to him only once and he told me he didn’t care what I had to say and said even more disrespectful things and even threatened to get physical with me. on top of that when a group of girls walked over I thought they were defending me when they were defending him!! Terrible. NEVER have I met a bar owner who was SO rude to customers. The place just changed hands and got a pretty new bar. Yet, it was dead at 1am while even the bar next door still had a line. Halloween night, streets so crowded that people had to walk on the street.. I'm guessing we weren't the only customers that guy has been nasty to. Bar tender didn't know how to make any drinks and the guy hired to clean her glasses and take out the garbage (literally) apparently wasn't allowed to. According to the owner, because he doesn't trust the kid he hired. Very uncomfortable. Didn't stay long. Won't be returning. Such a shame. The place was known for being fun and laid back.
