Called an order in for pick up, the man was rude on the phone. First of all the food was packaged all together, instead of separately. For example, we asked for the butter chicken and aloo Gobi, this came with rice which was packed together, rather than separately, when it was going to 2 separate people. Also the food was terrible, the rice smelled off like old dishwater, also the veggie pakora was overcooked and oily, nothing like the last time we had ordered. The sauce for them was okay though. The aloo Gobi was MEDIUM in spice and it tasted completely fine, the same way we always do. I got the butter chicken and asked for a slightly ABOVE MEDIUM, it was inedible and made my stomach hurt. I kept finding pieces of red pepper flakes in my food, and I know for a fact that butter chicken doesn't come with that. It seemed like they have a pre batch of butter chicken since it's the most commonly ordered dish, and added the RP flakes for spice. I don't mind Pre-batched food as long as it's good, but this food was sitting out and left to get cold, because by the time we touched our food, it was room temperature. The only reason I didn't take it back for a refund, was because my partner liked his aloo Gobi and was hungry. Provided no utensils, and put out food together so we had to put it on plates and separate it that way and eat at home when we wanted take out. Also I had to add my own heavy cream and butter to calm down the butter chicken, so I'm not out $65 for 3 items and attitude the entire iteration. Treat your community better, Fresh Mint. Truly terrible experience, won't be supporting this...
Read moreAs someone who has cooked these types of dishes for five decades and traveled to India several times, I can honestly saw that the food here is outstanding!
My wife and I shared palak paneer, basmati rice, masala dosa, samosas and naan. Everything was far beyond our expectations.
The cook graciously prepared the dosa with ghee and it, along with the sambar and coconut chutney were equal to what I've had in Tirupati, flavorful, not overspiced, and crispy.
The palak paneer was nicely prepared with cream, spiced with fenugreek and the paneer was gently fried so it was soft with lightly browned edges, just the way it should be. The spinach was bright, not overcooked as is typical in most Indian restaurants.
The basmati rice was also properly made. Each grain of rice was separate and just firm enough though fully cooked.
The naan was as it should be and the samosas, with a delicately flavored filling of potatoes and peas, again not overcooked, were flakey and delicious. Those were served with a combination of both tamarind and coriander chutney, also nicely spiced with just a hint of heat and spot on.
The staff were gracious and attentive, and the cook was simultaneously proud of his cooking but also humble.
I've eaten in Indian restaurants in Pittsburgh and elsewhere up and down the east coast and can honestly say that this one ranks with the best of them.
Though I can't speak to the other dishes, we are lifelong vegetarians, I can attest to the quality of what we had.

Our family has dined here multiple times, and each experience has been consistently fantastic.
The food at Fresh Mint is truly stellar. Every dish bursts with authentic flavors, and the quality of the ingredients is evident. Unlike our recent disappointing experience elsewhere, the sauces are rich and perfectly spiced, and the naan is always fresh and delicious.
What truly sets Fresh Mint apart is their incredibly generous portion sizes. When we order takeout, one entree is often enough to share with my children, making it not only delicious but also a great value.
