I came across this spot while getting lost trying to pick up a friend. The area where its located seems to be a popular local shopping/dining area where there are multiple eateries including a dunkin donuts which adds to the convenience of the place. I ordered ox tails with white rice and black beans, something I order frequently from my favorite restaurant, so I have an idea of how i want the dish to taste. I did NOT like the oxtails at all. The black beans had barely any flavor, and the rice had a weird aftertaste. The oxtails had a good amount of meat on the bones, however, and I can say that if i found the meal tasty, I would've been filled contently. The amount of food served to me was GREAT. The slightly pricey menu items seem as though theyll get you a lot of food. Also, practice your Spanish! It seems everyone at this location speaks a healthy amount of spanish and it can be hard to keep up verbally with guests and employees. All in all, I would rather go elsewhere for my ox tails but I would recommend others to try it here because of the clean and welcoming environment, and for ANYTHING ELSE the menu has to offer because the food LOOKED AND...
Read moreThis place is pretty good fellow foodies. It’s fairly price as well; not too pricey!! •Nothing is really over 20 except the full Red snapper dinner @25.
•Normally I’d start the paragraph with the “bad” then go to the good!!, But can’t really because of one time they rushed cooked it on the whole fish dinner and it wasn’t as seasoned and tasty as the other two(2) times!!
•It is home cooked meal style and not fast food profile!in terms of style and taste! You will not be disappointed. I saw a previous commenter above that said small portions were their curse; Didn’t think so!! I mean we could always sue more of a good thing right?
Btw: the pic is by Yorlady Rico from 4 yrs ago. Her plate looked exactly...
Read moreThis is a typical hole in the wall kind of a restaurant. Go there for home style Colombian/ Honduran food. Seating etc is low key and nothing to rave about. I usually do a take out - and always go with the food that is ready on display. The pricing is very reasonable. Like in any food bar, the food does stay out for a few hours once it has been cooked and gets replaced once it’s over. As others have pointed out, communication is a problem unless you know Spanish, but just point to what you want … As for the food- I really love it and have been going there for over 4 years now. My fav is the chicken with gravy with yellow rice, beans and corn tortilla. I have no idea what the name of the dishes...
