Excellent, fresh seafood in fun, outdoor environment. Dog friendly, kid friendly.

The Tognazzini Family has been a staple in our community for a long time. Captain Mark, the owner and a commercial fisherman, is known for bringing home fresh seafood and encouraging ocean education in our community. Even if Dockside didn’t give back, donate, and support our community like they do, I would still go there just for the fresh fish and BBQ’d oysters, but their generosity in our small town is just one more another reason to support them in return.

I worked there back in high school, and applied for a job after I ate my first meal there, yeah, it’s that good. I’ve been behind and in the kitchen, and still bring my family to eat there. My dad was a commercial fisherman, so I am used to fresh fish and can attest that they are some of the best in Morro Bay. Never had a bad meal, and have tried almost everything on the menu at both the restaurant and the fish market.

Dockside Too is a fun, outdoor, walk-up and order, informal place to grab a bite to eat, meet up with friends, or enjoy the afternoon. It’s always a good vibe when you come here. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is the on point. They often have live entertainment, which brings another level to the experience. My favorite on the menu are the fish tacos, but love the clam chowder and you must try their BBQ’d oysters. Don’t forget to order some fresh fish at the counter to take home, or you can even ask them to cook it up for you right there. Overall, 10/10...

We've been coming to Morro Bay from Nevada for almost 20 years now, and can't believe I have not reviewed our favorite location! This is the first place we head to when we hit town. Fresh Fish. Top shelf fish at a great price. Locally sourced, and often straight off the boat. I wish I had taken pictures of the Halibut Cheeks, slabs of seared Bluefin, or grilled Thresher steaks that we just had along with a side of fresh local Sourdough. However we scarfed it all down like hungry sea beavers. Sry, no pics. Dog Friendly!. They have leash tie downs at every table! Best view in Morro Bay for an eating establishment in my opinion. This is an OUTDOOR seating, first come first serve restaurant. BBQ Oysters are awesome. Seared Ahi is another favorite. You can take the fish away and cook it at home if you want, but they are happy to prepare it any way you like, and a great job they do! Live Entertainment. There is always a seasoned older local playing live music. We appreciate vintage selections, and our man was playing Pink Floyd tunes from Wish You Were Here and Dark Side of the Moon albums, this evening. Amazing! They close at 6Pm in the Winter. Check their hours. Some days they are not open, based on which season it is. Bring a jacket, as it might be chilly! Bring a dog, as it is more than welcome! Bring your appetite because you can't find better seafood for this kind of price! And bring an open mind because all types of folks meet up here to cap their day off and it can get...

This is my favorite place to eat on the Embarcadero.

Great patio seating with live music all the time! You can't beat that! A meal with a show :) Great fast dining experience. You order/pay inside, grab a table, wait for them to call your name! Lively atmosphere where there is always a crowd Best view of the Rock and the bay Great place to really enjoy Morro Bay. You can always see otters and sea lions, you're surrounded by wildlife and the charm of the bay, smell the fresh ocean air, and soak in the cool ocean breeze. BBQ Oysters. Don't think twice. Just do it. They are HUGE here and the garlic butter is amazinggggg. Great selection of beer on tap or wine by the bottle Clam chowder here is great -- thick, creamy, chunky, and filling (they don't overfill it with potatoes and you actually get clam) Scallops here are always good -- deep fried or grilled Fast, efficient service. Food never takes too long even when there is a long line Finding a table can be a little difficult when it's crowded, especially on the weekends or when the weather is nice. Great seafood market for locals. My husband and I come here all the time to pick up crabs and fish. Dog-friendly dining area so bring your pups! Close to a public restroom conveniently located outside by the parking lot Large parking lot with plenty of spots. We never have a hard time finding parking

Note: Personally, I don't recommend the fish and chips here. Its always super dry every time I've tried it....

I have been coming to this place for over 20 and this is the 1st time that I have been so very disappointed with them that I refuse to go back And be their customer . I ordered $100 worth of food Drink and clam chowder. Out of the pricey 18 oysters I received...8 were burnt and dry Overcooked and clearly were not quality Oysters that should not have been served to any customer..i made my husband eat those..lol. didn't feel like waiting another 20 minutes for 8 oysters.. Shame on them and I will not be going back again. They would not even compensate for atleast 4 the burnt ones.. I should have just refused them and ask ask for my money back. Worst thing was i drove 4 plus hrs specifically to eat here as i have done many many times through the years. Lesson learned.. However there is a place right down the alleyway from them called the GRASSY BAR OYSTER they are delicious they have great flavor and they also have Baked oysters at a fractional cost that tognazinni is offering. They may be Smaller but the quality is top notch. I SHALL NEVER GO BACK TOTOGNAZZINI. HELLO GRASSY BAR!!! Nov 2025 Update: i gave them another shot and they were good. But i want something consistent..
