Top Dog Cafe Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Morro Bay

My wife and I visit Morro Bay a few times throughout the year and always make a point to stop at Top Dog for their delicious chai latte, they were some of the best you could buy anywhere!

Unfortunately when we came today we discovered the new owners have switched to a syrup for their chai, and it’s not the same at all. Please go back to the spice mix that the previous owners used, my wife and I will come back every time we visit for that.

I have been coming here for many years now every time I am in the area. It has really changed with the new ownership. Unfortunately not in a good way. All different employees and management. 9/27/25 Friday, visited for the first time in long time and I can truly say it is nice still for locals visitors and all doggies welcome. It is nicely cleaned up inside and out. New owners are waiting to get fully licensed for beer wine. Nice full menu still. I enjoyed the avocado toast.
