Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Mountain View

I had an absolutely abysmal experience with this store tonight. This should be totally unacceptable from a reputable company like Papa Johns. We placed an order with this store tonight at 9:48 pm. This didn't seem like a big deal, since the store was open until 11 pm. Our order estimate was 27 - 33 minutes and and said it should arriving between 10:15 and 10:25. At around 10:45 it still hadn't been delivered, but our order tracker displayed "delivered".

At this point we called the restaurant and he said his driver was just leaving with the order now, and something about the tracker not working for multiple orders. He said our pizza should be the first delivered. Another 30+ minutes after that call and still no pizza. Eventually, I get a call around 11:25, a full hour past when it was scheduled to be delivered. They said they left the pizza outside the door because it was "very late" and when I went out to get the pizza it was an entirely incorrect order. Not a single thing on the order was correct. We immediately called the driver who had called me(repeatedly, and left a voicemail with them stating the issue) and the store (which was now closed due to how long the delivery took). Neither one of them ever responded to us, and we were left with an entirely incorrect order which we also overpaid a large amount for. I only give THIS papa johns store 1 star due to its management service. The food deserves 5 stars but its service is really bad. I had an issue with my order twice and both times I had to deal with very rude and inexperienced managers. The first time I ever had an issue with them was because I ordered buffalo chicken poppers with my pizzas and they delivered BBQ chicken poppers instead. I called them to inform them that we received the wrong order and their managers response in a rude manner to me was "OK what do you want me to do?" I said can you just refund me for the wrong order of chicken poppers and we will keep these? He said NO I can't refund an online order. So then again as if I was the manager to decide what to do, I suggested they deliver the correct order then and he said once again rudely "Ok but you have to wait an hour for them to arrive now and you have to return the wrong order of chicken poppers to my driver." At this point I was livid because now my kids had to wait another hour for the correct order to arrive on movie night and the manager was very unprofessional and highly inexperienced with no solution of his own to the issue. I had worked at a papa John's many years ago during my teenage years and I know that they take their customer service very seriously and always have a great solution for...

My wife and I like to do take-out Tuesdays where we don’t cook and instead order food to pickup and bring home so that we can watch whatever TV series we have that comes out on that day. This week we ordered some Papa John’s to watch the Bachelor Finale! What a great pairing (although what doesn’t go well with pizza… let’s be honest… nothing).

Our favorite takeout chain for pizza is Papa John’s because they have the Papa Pairings deal, where as long as you order two or more eligible items you get them for $7.99 each. We ordered a medium cheese pizza with mushrooms (must be one topping for the deal), some boneless parmesan chicken bites, garlic knots with marinara sauce, and an extra side of the spicy garlic dipping sauce. We always order an extra dipping sauce because I like the spicy garlic sauce and my wife likes the normal garlic sauce that comes with the pizza order.

The pizza was warm and delicious, just like we would expect from a Papa John’s. We always make sure to check the extra sauces are there before we leave because they’ve been left out before, not from this location, but another.

This is the location closest to our house and we’ve ordered here before. We order from the mobile app and drive to pick it up. It’s a clean storefront, there’s no seating, but that doesn’t matter for us.
