ValSof bakery — Restaurant in Murray

Heard about this Columbian cafe so decided to give it a try since it’s close to my office. The cafe is small so it’s better for take out, which was my intention anyway. They only have two coffee options: black (Americano) or latter. I got myself ab Americano and it was good. They have a few bakeries option and I tried chicken pastry which was recommended by the staff and guava and cheese bread. I’m very impressed with the chicken pastry. It’s a bit pricey (~$5) but the whole thing is stuffed with tasty chicken. The crust was thin and flavorful. I will definitely go back for this and try their beef pastry as well. As for the bread, I wasn’t super impressed. I think the proportion of the filling and bread is off and the filling wasn’t in the center so when I took a bite, I mostly just got the plain bread. We didn’t get a chance to try anything and won’t be coming here anymore because the lady who worked here closed the door on us 4 minutes before closing time and when we knocked on the door she completely ignored us!! What a shame. Not surprised though, how will they respect others when they don’t even respect their own policies!!! 8:00 pm is closing time but they close way before that!! I came across this sweet little shop after a long day at the hospital having a brain procedure. I needed some comfort food and this place delivered on every level. I tried the caramel cookie, the butter cookie and the chocolate croissant. All three were easily three of the best pastries I have ever tasted.
