Pier 49 Pizza — Restaurant in Murray

I placed an order with Pier 49 Murray via Slice Life (online ordering partner) for about a 7:30 PM pickup, and I requested some alterations to the pizza, namely swapping sauce bases, due to my sensitive system not handling tomato-based sauces well after 6:00 PM. When I got home, I found that the order was not correct, and they used the tomato sauce, despite the system charging me extra for the sauce substitution. I called up the location, and I was given to the manager to talk about the issue. I was told "sorry, but you did not say in the comments 'no tomato sauce', so we don't see things, so it is best to call in an order instead of ordering online." This left me unable to eat with my family, and extremely disappointed in the level of service.

The staff did nothing to work with me to come up with some way to make this right. I am not satisfied, and if I could leave a "0 star" review, I would. This has given no reason to use this pizza place again. This was the first time and the last time I would ever come to this place. I came in and ordered a Regular 12" pepperoni and cheese pizza and waited over 20 minutes. When I was approached by the employee they asked me what was my order. I said I ordered a Regular 12" pizza. Then he asked did you ordered online or here. I said I ordered at the store. He then asked me how much I paid. I showed him my receipt and he still questioned me 3 more times how much I paid. I clearly said I paid $10.29 as you can see on my receipt. He then tells me well that's the price for a personal-size pizza. I then told him I told the employee behind the counter as he continued to eat his ice cream, I would like to order a regular-size pizza.

They offered to make me a Regular-size pizza and charge me for the rest. As a customer, this is my first time coming to your establishment. If I am giving you my receipt and I am telling you what I ordered and your employee was not attentive to what I was ordering. This means you need to retrain your employees. Have them understand that when you are assisting a customer you must give them their full attention. If you are asking to know how much a customer paid and the customer is providing you with their receipt the common thing to do is to take the receipt apologize for the mistake and rectify the issue. 1st thing is first. You will wait longer than other pizza places. If you have patience and are understanding, then it is worth it. My Doordash order gave a time pretty far aheas, but I came a little early and was helped right away. He gave me the time it would be ready and he was spot on. The time actually matched up with my Doordash order timer which is never the case for other places. The pizza is supposed to be a sourdough crust. I didn't taste much of the sourdough flavor, but the crust was good. Better than other pizza places. The sauce is flavorful, and the cheese is good and tastes fresh. One reviewer said it is greasy and gave it low stars. It is a little greasy, not overly. If you are looking for a non greasy healthy pizza, I would just say go get a salad lol. Another reviewer said it's arcade pizza and gave it a low reciew. Arcade pizza isn't that great. If this guy knows an upscale arcade that serves great pizza, then I'd like to know lol.
