BEWARE.....11/02/23 OUR ROOM HAD A LARGE DISGUSTING BLACK STAIN ON THE SOFABED OUR DAUGHTER WAS TO SLEEP ON. (SEE PHOTO) WE PAID FOR A CLEAN ELEVATED MOUNTAIN ROOM VIEW. THE STAIN HAD 2 THROW PILLOWS PLACED IN FRONT OF THE LARGE BLACK STAIN. IT WASN'T UNTIL LATER WE DISCOVERED THE LARGE BLACK STAIN...IT APPEARD THEY HID THIS STAIN WITH 2 THROW PILLOWS AND STILL RENTED THE ROOM OUT. AND WHEN WE SHOWED THE PHOTO OF THE LARGE BLACK STAIN TO THE FRONT DESK GAL SHE SENT A HOUSECLEANER WHO SAID THE STAIN WAS DISGUSTING AND STICKY AND MOIST SHE WAS UNABLE TO REMOVE IT. THEN THE FRONT DESK OFFERED TO DOWNGRADE US TO A 1ST FLOOR RM WITH NOISE AND A VIEW OF THE PARKING LOT. SHE SAID THERE WERE NO OTHER ROOMS AVAILABLE. THE HOTEL MGR WOULD NOT EVEN COME AND CHECK OUT THIS DIRTY ROOM HE US IN HIS HOTEL. EVENTUALLY MGR SENT A EMAIL OFFER OF $20. SAID ALL HE COULD DO. THIS MANAGER IS SHAMEFUL. WE DROVE OVER 5 HOURS FOR MY HUSBANDS RARE CANCER SURGERY IN THE MORNING. WE WERE EXPECTING AS LISTED CLEAN ROOM WITH A PEACEFUL MOUNTAIN VIEW AND QUIET. WE REQUESTED OUR MONEY BACK AND MANAGER OFFERED THIS LOW CLASS ROOM INSTEAD.. NOT EVEN COMPARABLE. BUT I WAS ALSO TOLD BY THE FRONT DESK GIRL IF I CANCIL WITH PRICELINE (WHICH WE WOULD STILL PAY THEM FOR 1 NIGHT) REBOOK WITH THE HOTEL DIRECTLY THEY HAD A NICE ROOM FOR US. SOUNDS LIKE BAIT AND SWITCH TACTIC. REALLY ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY HAD A ROOM FOR US! OF COURSE WE HAD TO PAY MORE! MY HUSBAND COULD NOT BE RELAXED IN A NOISY ROOM LIKE WHAT THEY WERE OFFERING. THE MANAGEMENT RUINS THIS PLACE...COULD'NT EVEN SIGN HIS NAME TO THE EMAIL! I WAS TOLD FROM THE FRONT DESK GIRL THE MANAGER'S NAME IS JARED NELSON SO BEWARE THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOU! WE JUST WANTED OUR MONEY BACK OR A COMPARABLE ROOM FOR THE SAME PRICE WHICH THEY COULD NOT GIVE US. WE WONDERED WHY THEY WOULD EVEN RENT A ROOM WITH A BIG BLACK STICKY STAIN WHICH WAS VERY APPARENT AND HID BY 2 PILLOWS! THEY KNEW THE LARGE BLACK STAIN WAS THERE! IT ALSO MADE US WONDER HOW CLEAN THE ROOMS REALLY ARE! WOULD YOU LET YOUR DAUGHTER SLEEP ON THIS SOFABED? OUR DAUGHTER SLEPT WITH US AND WE GOT NO SLEEP! IT'S ALSO TROUBLING NO ONE KNEW WHAT THE LARGE BLACK STAIN WAS AND IF WE COULD GET SICK FROM IT! JUST BEWARE OF WHERE YOUR SLEEPING! JUST SAYIN! I have more photo's if...
Read moreWe stayed here over the weekend for 3 nights. Location was ideal especially since it's right near a Costco and a bunch of restaurants and stores. The mall is about 5 min away. ||Pros|- Our room was spacious with a small kitchen including a fridge, dishwasher, sink, stove, and microwave. |- Staff are friendly and hospitable |- Free parking with ample space |- Complimentary breakfast from 6:30 am-9 am daily ||Cons|- No full service housekeeping. When we checked in on Thursday, the lady at the front desk asked if we wanted daily cleaning since we were staying for 3 days. When I requested it, we were surprised the next day when we came back from our outing to our room being untouched with trash and used towels. When my husband asked the front desk lady why they didn't clean our room, she explained to us that it's only to collect towels and trash. It would have been nice if they explained that to us when we checked in. |- The trash can in the kitchen was small and quickly piled up in the kitchen. It would definitely help out a lot if they had a larger trash can to prevent an overflow of garbage. |- The complementary breakfast was just ok and very basic. They had eggs and a different type of meat like sausage or bacon during the 3 days we were staying here. They offered the same types of plain bagels, plain English muffins, cereal, oatmeal, and fruit. It would be nice if they could change it up. |- Parking lot was somewhat well-lit if you find a spot near the main entrance. There were some areas a few feet away where the parking lot was dark and a bit shady. ||Overall, we had a good stay that's why I'm giving this hotel four stars. We'll be sure to stay here again the next time...
Read moreLate arrival Monday night after long and exhausting drive from Oregon. While my wife checked us in, I walked the dog to stretch our legs and was shocked to see her with room keys before we got very far. She said it was the quickest check-in she had ever experienced. To my dismay, our room was on the fourth floor, and with a small dog who has anxiety problems and hates elevators, I desperately asked the very gracious clerk, Salote, if there was any way we could get a first-floor room. I didn't have high expectations due to the lateness, but Salote checked availability, and we were given our new keys in a matter of seconds. Her willingness to help and answer all questions made the fatigue much more bearable. Always smiling and gracing us with an amazing attitude that late at night, was the highlight of our day. We stayed at Marriot hotels for our 12-day trip, and apparently saved the best for last.
The hotel is only a few years old but looks like it was built last week. Extremely clean, very modern looking, and has all the amenities you expect in a "suite". Full sized fridge, old fashioned, but very welcome full-sized coffee pot, and very comfortable bed, are just a few of the many amenities we really appreciated. Marriot has a jewel in this facility, and we will stay here if we ever return to the SLC area. I have no idea what they are paying Salote, but they should quadruple it; don't promote her, just pay her more than upper management. Her smile and professionalism are what every...
