We were told coming in that they were understaffed but decided to give them a try. Big mistake. Asked for a burger done medium rare and was told they cook to medium well due to the “thickness of the burger.” My extremely well done burger was thin, and similar to a fast food frozen burger with disgusting chewy bacon. Ugh. Two of our party of 5 had their orders messed up, one was brought a totally different meal from what she had ordered, and the other was brought a side of fries rather than the vegetable medley she’d ordered. The person who brought the initial order (not our waiter) was very apologetic and went to get the vegetables. He left the fries as he should have. In the meantime, our waiter came back and ARGUED with the person who asked for vegetables, saying she ordered fries. We assured him we all heard her order vegetables, plus she is on a low carb diet and does not eat fried foods. After arguing about it, he reached across the table, picked up the order of fries, and walked away. While all of this was going on, those who had ordered burgers had been waiting for at least 10 minutes for ketchup while our food got cold. The two people who had asked for ranch dressing waited even longer. One had a salad she didn’t want to eat without salad dressing, and who could blame her? We asked THREE times for the ranch. First time “it will be right out.” Second time “they’re almost done making it.” Third time, they’re still putting it into the little cups.” I guess they ran out and had to pick some up at the grocery store because it didn’t taste homemade. When the vegetables came they were awful, inedible for the most part. On top of all that, our bills were messed up. Nobody except the first food runner ever apologized for a single thing. We didn’t ask to speak with a manager because by that point we just couldn’t wait to get out of there so we could try to salvage the rest of our evening. BTW, this was a bride-to-be (wearing a cute veil) her sister, mom, aunt and best friend. We were looking to have a nice dinner to celebrate. We weren’t drinking or raucous, just celebrating. This is NOT the right way to run a restaurant. If the only issue was the subpar food, I would not have even written this review. Future potential patrons, please take this as a warning and go somewhere else. McD’s would have...
Read moreSadly, I can’t recommend this restaurant and I usually don’t right negative reviews. However, we had a couple of issues and the manager’s response was very disappointing. We sent back an undercooked cauliflower appetizer. The good news is that you know they batter them there instead of buying frozen. The bad news is that they didn’t cook them long enough and there was raw batter oozing out of the bigger pieces. Unfortunately, my very hungry teenage boys had eaten most of the pieces before we realized it. So when we sent back an example of the undercooked ones the manager came out and said it was “thrust at her and she had no idea why it came back, and that since there was only one piece on the platter they would only give us one additional piece instead of another full appetizer”. This miscommunication probably happened because we had to send the appetizer back with a food runner because we had not seen our server since he took our order and brought drinks to the table. We explained that that was not our intention at all and we just wanted to make the kitchen aware so they could avoid it happening again. As previously mentioned, our server never came back so we had to get drink refills ourselves from the bar. When we spoke with the manager, we told her all of this and there was basically no response and no correction…our server was still MIA. On a side note, my 70 year old mother in law initially asked for lemon with her water and, after forgetting the lemon, our server kindly brought her two slices but they were in his hand instead of on a napkin. He clearly needed more training and I fear he won’t get it from their management. We understand the demands of the service industry. We’ve “been there done that” so we still tipped our server 20% but we’ll...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. As someone who works in the service industry, I was shocked by the service I received or better yet, did not receive. I would not recommend eating here if you have any allergies. I made it very known to my server that I have severe allergies, asked questions regarding food items and what would be safe. My server said she didn’t know nor did she care to learn. Told me at her last job she knew everything before they closed and now she didn’t care to make the effort to learn at this place. She did not ask the cooks any questions. My first mistake was choosing to stay and trust they wouldn’t kill me. My burger came out with no cheese. Perfect. However, bun seemed toasted. Couldn’t find my server to ask so I decided not to risk it and took the bun off. I was still hesitant so I stuck to eating fries for a bit, barely took a bite of my burger patty, and waited to see if It was safe to eat. I had a full blown allergic reaction. My boyfriend immediately asked if they had Benadryl and for the check. My server then continued laughing and joking with her coworkers while I was minutes away from going into anaphylactic shock. My boyfriend almost walked out without his debit card. Management did nothing. And my boyfriend was charged for the burger that I took one small bite of before I had to leave. Would not recommend. Worst experience I’ve ever had eating out. I’ve been bartending and serving for years and never had someone so...
