Words cannot express what a treat it was to visit this coffee shop. If you grew up in the 70's...the best decade EVER...you will appreciate the owner's meticulous, flawless, and detailed contribution to this era. As I was surfing thru the original LP's (33's) for sale...yes original vinyl albums, I came across Three Dog Night...the best 70's band of all time and my personal favorite. To my surprise, the barista offered to play it on the turntable...yes TURNTABLE they have in the coffee shop. I was elated as I have not heard music on an LP for decades and the sound is unlike anything else invented. As the barista dropped the needle, tears came to my eyes as Shambala began to play. As a MB flood evacuee who has been trapped in a motel for 4 mos with 4 small grandchildren this song has a very special meaning. It was nothing short of a blessing from God that I had the pleasure of hearing this and the barista was totally unaware of the gift he was extending to me. As I sipped my perfectly brewed Guatemalan coffee I knew I had found the best coffee shop on the planet. It is obvious the barista loves his job and his customers which made the experience that much more enjoyable. He is an extremely kind hearted soul and a very talented barista. The owner struck gold with this employee. I look forward to going back and visiting my new barista friend. I urge anyone who appreciates quality music, excellent service and superb coffee, to pay Hi-Fi a visit. If you are not a local, it's worth traveling for. I must add...the ice cream shop adjacent to Hi-Fi which I understand has the same owner, is the coolest place ever and I hope to take my grands there soon. Thank you Hi-Fi for a...
Read moreMeh. Coffee was a 1.5-2, my friend couldn’t even drink her iced coffee, food was a 3, atmosphere was a 4. But… we did come for coffee so I’m going to have to stick to a 2.5 star rounded up because of the pac man. The coffee & drinks we got just really weren’t good, food took agggeess to get. Luckily the pac man machine was free and occupied my kids while we waited. I always try to find a good local coffee shop when I’m somewhere new, and this seemed to fit the bill, but was pretty disappointing. We walked about 25 minutes to get here and wished we would’ve just crossed the street from our hotel & went to Starbucks, especially since I watched them “make” my chai tea with a carton of Tazo’s premade chai tea latte 🫠 I go to local shops to get away from Starbucks so yeah, it wasn’t a great experience. Oh! The croissant sandwich was good though. So...
Read moreHighly recommend their coffees. I enjoyed an iced black coffee and my wife got a tasty mango smoothie.
We both also got the create your own sandwich with their toasted croissant options. We got the Turkey, greens, tomatoes and cheese. I highly recommend adding the Horsey Mayo or horseradish Mayo if you like the flavor of horseradish. Horseradish is one of my favorites so I absolutely loved this sandwich.
We ate inside on our way to Ripley’s Believe it or not just up the street on the corner. Inside space is not to big but it wasn’t too busy at the time we’re here around end of August. The whole strip that you can walk along wasn’t too busy.
I’d say it’s a great place to stop by and try their drinks and grab a light snack to...
