We are guests at the condos and decided to try the restaurant. No one was in there at 720 and the gentleman that greeted us asked if we wanted a high top window seat or a low top away from the windows. The kids wanted windows but I knew my wife needed the low top due to her back. As we were walking towards the table I saw that there was a 6 seat table that was low and at the windows. I asked if we could sit there and he said no we could not because we were a party of 4 not 6. We all looked puzzled and I said itâs not like yâall are busy. There are two other table in here besides us. He said I cannot because my manager said thatâs the rules. So we went to sit down and the table and chairs were wobbling. Just at this time two ladies approached us and said can I get your drink order. I said can you get the manager to see if we can move tables. She said we can move to to that 4 top. I said we really prefer a low top and she said we could move to one away from the windows in the middle. I again asked if I could speak to the manager. This lady then snapped âI am the managerâ. We said you are not busy and you are seriously willing to lose our business over a table and she said she would put a work order in on the table and chairs and we could sit at a 4 top table only. We said we were leaving and she huffed off. Most unprofessional manager I have ever dealt with. It would have been totally understandable had they been busy or had people waiting. So we donât know how the food was because of the horrible...
Read moreAttempted to eat breakfast here this morning as weâre staying in the hotel. Even though the restaurant only had 2 tables seated we waited a good while until someone showed up to seat us. A young guy with a black winter coat on brought us to a table. The entire time I had about 2 sips left of my iced coffee from earlier and I was finishing it before I planned to order more coffee and breakfast. With no warning this guy goes to snatch my coffee out of my hand saying no outside coffee is allowed. He had his hand on my cup and was pulling it away from me. I snatched it back and said Iâll finish this last small sip and you can toss. The thing is I have zero problem at all about not being able to bring in a coffee I made in my hotel room even if it was full. But do NOT put your hands on me or my belongings. I wouldâve passed it to him or thrown it out myself. I was disgusted and my husband said letâs leave. On the way out a woman asked why we werenât dining in and my husband told her what happened. Her response was âwell no outside food or beverage is allowed in.â My husband said I understand that and we have no problem with that but you donât snatch something out of a guestâs hand like that. She agreed with that and said sheâd talk to him but I can see why this place has such a low rating. The food in the buffet table looked sad, restaurant was empty for a Sunday morning and service was ridiculous. Do better. We ended up going to Magnolia down the street and had an amazing server and the food...
Read moreWe stayed at the Patricia Grand hotel so naturally this place was most convenient for breakfast.
Our food- from the buffet, was okay. Our server was wonderful, and kind. The restaurant is oceanfront with pretty views while you dine.
There's a sign out front that says shirt and shoes required- they had my husband button up his shirt which was fine. She allowed me in because my one piece bathing suit was very similar to an actual top, and covered everything. I paired it with Jean shorts. It looked like a regular outfit.
A few minutes into our eating, the manager (pink shirt) comes by.. I presume it's a manager on duty since she wore a different colored shirt. She tells me, since I'm already eating she won't make me leave, but the next time I come in I need to be wearing an actual shirt because she knows I'm wearing a bathing suit.. I've literally got "actual shirts" that cover LESS than what I was wearing in that restaurant. We decided we wouldn't be back, as we were not the only table that was harassed while we dined- and she too, was also covered completely.
It is worth noting, that we were the ONLY two tables in the restaurant, so surely no one was bothered by fully covered diners eating breakfast.
Our server though, she was great and I truly hope she did not get reprimanded in any way for allowing us to dine at an oceanfront restaurant...
