Pulaski Deli. Eastern European food that is just like we remember our grandparents and aunt making. It is a Polish grocery (coolers, freezers, shelves, fresh baked items) and restaurant with tables, tshirts, postcards, calendars, etc. and my Ukrainian family members approve! What a treat! We have been here a number of times for lunch. Grocery opens 10AM, restaurant opens 11AM. Recommend Polish Sampler Plate, Potato Pancakes and Pierogi Plate. They have fresh Angel wings, kolaczki (pieces of jelly filled powdered sugar dough happiness that I havenāt found since Hamtramck near Detroit), beets, wedding kielbasa, condiments, mushroom soup packets, borscht beet soup, buckwheat, frozen pierogi, herring, nut rolls, poppyseed rolls, so many wonderful items, and their restaurant has Polish beer, pop, sub sandwiches, pierogi, kielbasa, the best cabbage rolls, sauerkraut, pickles, rye bread, Bigos aka hunterās cabbage stew (yum!)ā¦the owners are kind and hard workers, this hidden gem has been discovered and Iām happy that Pulaski Deli has regulars! Also, they do large orders for catering pick up and have a food truck/delivery. Support Pulaski Deli. Their food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love this store!!! The people working there are so kind. And I also get to practice my polish. All their sausages are delicious and fresh. Iām partial to kabanos sausages, my weakness. I went there for pierogi and ended up buying pyzy by mistake. But what a treat! Itās a soft, pillowy potato dumpling filled with meat. Try it and you wonāt regret it. Their bigos (hunterās stew) I must say is one of the best Iāve had in years. It goes really well with pierogi. Basically everything in the store is yummy. If youāre not familiar with some Polish foods just ask the owners and they will gladly help you. Perhaps try one new thing each time you go. And who doesnāt like stuffed cabbage rolls (GoÅÄ bki). Even though I make my own ( they are delicious) I will try theirs next time. Iām sure they will be delicious as well. You can even eat hot and delicious pierogi in their store. Whatās not to like? Also try a package of Polish fudge like candy with the little cow on it. You will thank me. But please leave some for me:) I always carry a few in my purse just in case. Easy drive from Leland to Myrtle beach with the bypass. I will drive for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I had just moved to the area, and wanted to try something new, close to our home. I ran across the Pulaski Deli, and we decided to give it a try. We were NOT disappointed! The staff were friendly (even though we arrived ~25 mins before they closed on a Sunday. The restaurant was clean and quaint, well-decorated with a marketplace feel. We ordered a kielbasa and a turkey sandwich. They were extraordinary. (My wifeās family is from NY, and she stated that she hadnāt had a similar sandwich since she last visited.) The Turkey sandwich was very substantial, and had fresh, flavorful ingredients. My wife loved it, and had to request a box. I had a kielbasa, which was perfectly grilled and served with deli mustard and sauerkraut between two pieces of thick, crispy bread. After eating and complimenting our host, we were offered a pÄ czki, a polish doughnut, with a prune filling, and dusted with powdered sugar (kind gesture, it was also delicious!). What an uplifting experience. We will definitely return at a time where we can browse the European foods on...
