I Would give this place zero stars if I could. Me and my daughter booked a one night stay as we decided to stay an extra night at the beach. It was a very crowded weekend and most hotels was booked up. We was driving around in hopes of finding somewhere to stay. We found this hotel a quick look of reviews showed a 5 star rating. The outside of the building looked run down. We went inside and spoke with the front desk clerk and she advised us there was only one ocean front room left and two side view rooms. We opted for the ocean front room. We paid $197 and some change. The hallway going to the elevator smelled horrible and so did the elevator. There has been construction going on at some point as there was items for different rooms throughout the hotel. We got in the elevator and it smelled worse than the hallway. The floors looked dirty and the areas we had been so far did not impress me at all. As we got to our room we opened the door(room 211) the floor was dirty and outdated. I check all beds at ever hotel I stay at just in case there is bugs. I found a small spider under the pillows but nothing else. I killed the spider and told my daughter to not get on the bed as I did not know for sure how the bed was. We went to the beach walked around a bit and came back to find that there was no place to rise off your feet from the sand at the beach. We went inside the front lobby to ask for some towels as we was going to take a our showers and go out and play putt putt. There was nobody in the lobby there was one person sitting and waiting for someone to come to the desk and as we stood there waiting for someone to assist the now four people in the lobby nobody came. Me and my daughter waited 30 minutes and decided we would use our own towels instead of the hotels. We got back to the room and as I walked in I checked the bed again for bugs and found another small spider. We got a quick shower and left for putt putt. We got back and was going to talk to the front desk but they was closed and lights turned out. Me and my daughter slept in my truck in the parking lot as we determined it was not safe to sleep in the room. As we checked out the next morning around 7:45 am we made the front desk lady aware of the spiders and the condition of the room. Also we told her that we slept in my truck instead of the room. All the lady up front would say was “we will let them know”. So long story short we paid almost $200 to sleep in my truck in their parking lot. Do not ever use this hotel. Also the charge to my credit card showed up as the previous hotel Court Capri. Again I say do not use...
Read moreI looked at the “pictures “ and booked a room.BIG BIGGEST mistake ever. I was in Room on the 9th floor. Ocean view I was there, but the room was awful. The sink was partially falling off the wall and the bed looks like a cot, even though it was king size. And there was no couch like in the picture a picnic table of all things, and there was a hardback chair of some sort in the room, the room smelly and you can tell they just cut the air on. What pisses me off is the fact that I know I wanna get my money back, but it won’t happen. I would not stay in a room in that hotel for any amount of money. The front desk is abandoned. The doors are all locked and when I got out of my car, I had to get maintenance to help let me in, all they did was send a bling email and I don’t check email when I go on vacation. I expect a person behind the desk to check me in. Yes I am older but still is it too hard to feel someone in when everything is tech related and done by remote , I end up check not even using the room and checked into another motel and left the next day.
Whoever owns that hotel should be ashamed of themselves since the pictures on Expedia and Priceline look compared to what I walked into on the ninth floor for room down. What did not help was it was Labor Day weekend and I had to sit down and find a room I do not know in the office hotel but they must hate me, it has been a long time since I have been to Myrtle Beach and had such a crappy experience. As far as I am concerned, never ever go to this hotel, you would do better to sleep in your car and not question the cleanliness of the room, whoever booked that for me is going to get it on Monday. Summer camps are more luxurious than that and I don’t have to worry about bringing a gun or something else to make sure my property is safe if I leave the room.
I had to put a review. I put a one and I’ll highly recommend this room as a -5 so disappointed and add insult to injury I didn’t wanna have to leave the next day. If you’re not gonna use the front desk, remove it and make a sitting area. I had a house close to this hotel and the first thing I did after We sold the house; was the hotels I liked this is on my list of one of the worst to never go to unless you have no choice.
How someone can put a review of this hotel as luxurious makes me wonder what they’re taste is. I have been on trips luxury level, but this one no I don’t want to know what they consider roughing it.
Thank you very much for...
Read moreI hope I can find somewhere to share the pictures I have. I will say in their defense we went during the week of hurricane Debbie. But if you're gonna have oceanfront property you need to be prepared for oceanfront scenarios. The hurricane didn't really effect us until day 2 and upon arrival the room was...wet and sweaty. The floors were wet...damplike. You have to keep the air on like 65 to make it dry up. Backup...the whole check in process was weird. There is noone at the front desk. That's not a thing. They email you a code to get into the bldg and another code to get in your room. Our sliding glass door...you had to have 2 people struggle to open and close it. We got 2 rooms because we're a large family. The other room had holes that had been punched in the walls, black mold all over the walls. It did have a nice sliding glass door though. All the showers do not have plastic liners and the lip on the floor is like 1 inch tall so your bathroom floor gets soaked when you shower. So day 2 the hurricane winds start. All we have is 4 towels and we had to use them for the water coming in from the tracks of the sliding glass doors. We had all our trashcan and a mop bucket collecting the drips from the ceiling. The other room did as well. They had to use the plastic mattress cover on the floor to catch the water. There is a guy that lives there that handles everything and if you can catch him he's very helpful. The company just doesn't give him anything to work with. Towels, toilet paper, etc. I will say him and 1 other guy was there some during the day and if you needed something they would get it for you. But like if I wanted to switch rooms or something....who would I go to? There's noone at the front desk. It's like someone just bought a piece of property and never thought about future maintenance. The pool was ok. No complaints there. We just didn't get to use it because there was a hurricane! Read the fine print from blue palmetto because you are supposed to bring your own toilet paper and towels. But due to the hurricane the guys did...
