Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Myrtle Beach

Just a heads up, if you're staying in any of the hotels on Ocean Blvd, they probably won't deliver to you. Let me start off by saying that I usually never read reviews on places because I know how unrealistic people can be. However, in this situation, I really wish I would have. We ordered around 7pm on a Monday night and when I got the confirmation, it estimated an hour delivery time. That seemed a little long, but hey, its the beach and close to Memorial Day so they might have been slammed. Ten minutes after ordering I got a call from what I assume was the restaurant but I just missed the call and they didn't leave a message. I called back 5 minutes later and the phone rang for two minutes before I gave up and assumed that they'd call me back if there was a problem. 30 minutes later, I tried calling again, but again it rang and rang with no answer. After an hour had passed since I ordered, I called one last time to try and cancel the order (which, according to their tracker feature was still being made) but yet again, no answer. Finally I gave up and ordered from another restaurant. We never got our original order and I'm hoping that my credit card isn't charged. Overall, I'm just amazed by the complete lack of service by this place. We were staying in a hotel 1.4 miles from them, so it's not like we were too far. I gladly would have gone and picked it up but no one ever answered the phone and told me they weren't going to deliver to me, plus I had been drinking and wanted to be safe...

I ordered a pizza from here to have delivered to my hotel room. I put in that I wanted a contactless delivery left at my door. I made it very clear what room I was staying in..putting it in both the apt # as well as in the instructions. My phone went dead around the time the driver arrived and I didn't realize it (which I do admit is my fault). Anyway, instead of bringing my order to my room door, knocking and leaving it as I wanted, the driver texts my phone and says he's there with my food in the lobby and I need to come down to get it ASAP. Then, sent another text saying he couldn't wait any longer and had to take my pizza back to the restaurant. It is beyond me why he couldn't just bring it up to my room like I wanted. I've had pizza delivered to hotels numerous times and this is the first time I've ever had someone just stay in the lobby and not actually bring it to my room. Me coming to the lobby to take it directly out of someone's hands is also definitely not contactless!

Update: I went to the restaurant after this driver did this and was informed my order had been voided and my money had been refunded. It is a week later and I just checked my account and no refund was ever given and am still being charged for what this lazy driver did! Definitely never order from this pizza hut if you are staying in a hotel. They will demand you come to them instead of coming to you in your room and then later lie straight to your face about how they gave you a refund if you did not...

Honestly doesn't even deserve one star. Poor customer service. Ordered a pizza at 7:45 p.m. was told it would be delivered to our hotel room which was literally maybe 2 blocks away. In 60 to 70 minutes. Ok that was fine, busy city, assumed they were slammed said ok understood about the major wait. Called at 9:20 to ask if it was on its way yet, the lady told us it should be there at at 9:45. At 10:30!!!! Still NO pizza???? Called and after the 6th try someone finally picked up the phone, I was kind, told them when we ordered the pizza and that we hadn't received it yet, he then preceded to tell me "And your just NOW checking on it??" I said no we called earlier and were told it was going to be delivered within the next 25 mintues and it never showed. He said let me check and supposedly he did and it showed they were still making it and it was backed up!??? That he was going to transfer me to his manager and get it taken care of. GUESS WHAT no one ever answered!!! And after it rang through 20 times they hung it up.! Long story short pizza never arrived. It wasn't a cheap order it was almost 50.00 and we w0uld have tipped the driver excellent even if we would have gotten the pizza later than expected . Lost our buisness. We ordered hungry howies and it arrived within 15 mintues. ! GO TO HUNGRY HOWIES!!!!!!!!! Give them your money they will...
