KFC — Restaurant in Nags Head

Food seems consistently hot and fresh. Friendly enough staff. Although, the interior could be a bit cleaner and use a facelift. Needs more room, bigger building more parking.

Update 1.29.2018: Downgraded from 3 stars to only 2 now. Went for lunch with coworkers yesterday. Upon entering, there were only two patrons seated and eating. Staff was not busy, they were actually standing around conversing. The take out window employee was playing on her smart phone as there were apparently no cars. Which is fine by me if you have down time. But, we weren't promptly greeted and almost every single table was visibly dirty and needed to be wiped. Not to mention, once we actually got our food (which was fast and hot), upon actually looking at our surroundings at the table, it became even more obvious that the whole restaurant is in need of some serious cleaning. Food is splattered on part of the walls where we sat and the backs of the chairs had some kind of sticky substance on the back. Also, the fountain drink dispenser is really dirty and parts looked like they were ready to fall off. Not trying to be picky, and not expecting the place to look perfect, but this was a real let-down. It was so dirty and run-down, myself and my coworkers could not stop talking about it all the way back to the office. The cleanliness issue is a constant problem at this location. We all agreed, we may not go back, which is a shame, we actually like the food and ate there often. Makes me wonder just how clean the food prep area is and if we will eventually get sick eating there.

Update 5/30/2018: The dining room has been gutted and remodeled!!! Yay! Food is still consistently hot and fresh. Although, two things stand out during our visit. The half-wall area in front of the cash registers had a urinal cake sitting on top. And, the a/c is so cold in the dining room, it felt like a cryo chamber! Upgraded to 3 stars.

Update 8/31/2018: Apparently they needed extra money to pay for the new upgrades...our favorite "meal deals" have been removed from the menu. Those were the best deals...now we are forced to spend more money for something similar on the menu! Jeez, we were just falling in love with the improvements! I really want to drop back to 2 stars, but the food is good and the place has...

This is the dirtiest restaurant I've been to on the outer banks, the food was a joke, hard cold and inedible.. I threw all our food away because it was that bad! The man who waited on me was so ridiculous I was shocked how blatantly rude he was as I tried to place my order at the counter, he kept huffing and puffing as though I had done something wrong for trying to place a order and interrupting him from being outside ( which btw I couldn't believe that there was 3-5 workers hanging out in the front and chatting loudly even after my family entered and stood at the counter just waiting and waiting for a worker to come in and wait on us) obviously from how filthy the place is they don't go in much and clean there to busy hanging out with friends than working... it's so unsanitary in there that I'm surprised it's not been closed, my shoes were sticking to the floor from something that had spilled at some point in there and not been cleaned up, the tables were disgusting the bathroom was even dirtier..in general my visit here reminded me why I had stopped coming to begin with.. sadly this place should be shutdown gutted and cleaned and and new owners,managers and workers need to be hired because the ones here obviously could care less about this place.. warning AVOID AT ALL COST! if the locals who supports this place off season would boycott it here maybe they would shape up and change for the better....as for now"" I recommend NOT...

The worst KFC/Taco Bell location I've ever been to in my entire life. I was vacationing in Nags Head and decided to stop there with my daughter, her boyfriend and my boyfriend and they would not allow us to place a separate order through drive-thru. And being that I was handicapped and confined to a wheelchair they still told me I needed to come into the restaurant to place my order. My daughter was so upset she went in there demanding for the name of the owner to file a complaint and they pretty much cursed at her and yelled at her and I had to get involved myself. They are the most laziest and most unprofessional employees O have come across. Everyone there should have gotten fired. No one was even manning the drive-thru when they all decided to gang up on us outside the restaurant and all because we asked a question. Bunch of low-lifes!! I do not recommend for anybody to bother wasting their time and money at this particular...
