I recently had breakfast at EJ’s, and while the experience started off a bit rocky, it ended on a high note. Our waitress, Marlo, was top-notch—super attentive and quick to make things happen. Despite the initial estimate of a 25-minute wait turning into an hour, Marlo’s excellent service made up for it.
During the wait, I noticed the young girl handling the hostess duties was being harassed by another guest about a table. Despite the stress, she remained professional, even feeling the need to show him the seating tablet to explain the situation. It was clear she was doing her best with minimal support from management, which was a shame. It would have been better if management had stepped in to assist.
Once seated, the experience improved significantly. The drinks and food were absolutely on point. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a perfect start. I had a broccoli and cheese omelet with banana-stuffed French toast and their cheesy hash browns—every bite was delicious. My wife enjoyed her sausage, egg, and cheese bagel, and we both loved the cold brew. Our son happily shared my French toast, had some fruit, a hard-boiled egg, and chocolate milk.
Considering the location and the type of clientele they serve, it’s understandable that managing seating is a challenge. There aren’t many places for people to wait, but EJ’s makes up for it in every other aspect of the experience. The food, drinks, and exceptional service from waitstaff like Marlo truly stand out.
Despite the initial hiccup with the wait time and the need for better managerial support for the hostess, I would still highly recommend EJ’s for a...
Read moreWebsite said dog friendly, upon arrival it took the host several minutes to acknowledge we were waiting for a table. Host finally comes around and says it’s going to be 30-35m for a party of 5 plus a dog. 15m later I see a large party arrive and they’re debating wether to stay or not bc of the wait time. Noticed one of the customers from the large party subsequently talking with one of the employees as if they were old high school friends and within minutes like a magic trick they started putting tables together to sit them down. So I ask the host what’s going on, he says I have a dog and apparently there’s only a few tables they can sit a party with a dog at even though the table he pointed out was within 5ft of the huge party they had just sat. It was so obvious they were making this stuff up it was ridiculous. Then the employee that was friends with the patron from the large party comes by to say the landlord doesn’t allow them to be pet friendly anymore so they can only sit dogs in a small select area. I point out the large party that was sat and the small area he’s pointing at are both outside and within 5 feet of each other and he can’t give me a logical explanation. To make a long story short, if u want good friendly service this place isn’t it and it’s pretty apparent they have no use for out of towners. I visit naples 2-3 times a year and the restaurants and bars are usually top notch with great food and even better service. Can’t say anything about the food at EJ’s since I didn’t get to sit and eat but the two staff members I had the chance to interact with left a lot...
Read moreThe food and vibe at this place are straight-up awesome. The prices are great, and let me tell you - their orange juice is hands down the best I've ever had. But the real star here is the service. Every server goes the extra mile to make sure you're taken care of, but there's one in particular who is just on another level.
Her name is Falicite, and she is the absolute best server I've ever had, hands down. She's so friendly and attentive - she really makes you feel special. Falicite just has a way of anticipating your needs before you even have to ask. Your drink is never empty, she makes spot-on recommendations, and she's always there with extra napkins or anything else you might need.
Falicite remembers all the regulars by name and their usual orders. She greets everyone with a big smile and is just so warm and genuine. She takes the time to chat and get to know you - it's like catching up with an old friend. Whether you're a big group or have a special request, Falicite handles it all with patience and a super positive attitude.
Honestly, I always try to sit in Falicite's section because she makes the whole dining experience feel extra special. She goes above and beyond in every way to make sure you leave happy. If you get the chance to have Falicite as your server, consider yourself lucky. She's the...
