Absolutely amazing! Exactly the kind of true Italian experience you could hope to find in Naples.
In a city chock full of Italian restaurants, the vast majority don’t ever provide an Italian experience, if anything the closest they come is American Italian cuisine, which is great! But how much chicken parm can I eat??
That said, my girlfriend and I happened upon this quaint Italian restaurant by pure chance. Excited about the possibility of some authentic Italian food we went in.
Immediately we were warmly greeted by both Andrea and Francesco (hopefully I’m spelling it right) who are more than obviously Italian in all the best ways.
The ambiance was wonderful, lit well but not blinding, and not so dim as to cast a yellow hue on everything. The decor was also calm and welcoming, giving the restaurant a clean, breezy, and coast-worthy appeal.
The food however, was so good you could have served it to me in a cardboard box and I’d still rave about it incessantly.
We started with the whitefish carpaccio, which was sliced to the thinnest point possible, while still holding its shape and texture. As tender as could be, as seasoned with citrus notes, and a hint of basil, it was refreshing and absolutely delicious.
For my main course, I had the Langostino Risotto, which was cooked to absolute perfection, and served with both halves of an equally perfect langoustine. As many know, Risotto is a dish that can be easily ruined. That was not the case. The Arborio rice was exactly al dente, and held every flavor of the dish. On top of that, they took care to stir small pieces of langoustine into every bite. An absolutely superb dish and experience.
My girlfriend, ordered the Caserecce con Branzino, a pasta dish similar to fettuccine, but a bit wider. The sauce was a simple lemon sauce with basil, but it astonished my girlfriend to the point that she quipped “this can’t just be lemon?!”. The fish was cooked to perfection as well, and lent the dish a nice light protein.
We finished up our meal with Afogatto (espresso with a dollop of gelato), which Andrea prepared himself and it hit the spot. A perfect end to a delicious dinner.
We will be back again and again, because this is an experience worth having and...
Read moreLa Pescheria is a charming restaurant specializing in fresh seafood dishes by Italian chefs. This is the establishment if you want to experience authentic Italian cuisine in a small, intimate atmosphere, focusing on freshly made seafood dishes.
From its dimly lit interior to its cozy tables surrounded by rustic wooden chairs, it was clear that this would be an unforgettable evening indeed! They have a charming outside dining area and an inside dining area.
We were not disappointed! From the minute we stepped into this wonderful little restaurant, we knew we were in for an exciting evening. Our waiter enthusiastically greeted us and suggested an outstanding wine from Puglia that he thought would pair perfectly with our meal.
Our meal began with a Fennel and pear salad with walnuts and grapes, and a Burrata, Tomato, and fresh Basil appetizer. For our main courses, we ordered the Dover Sole whole grilled fish, and they filleted it table side and served with fresh vegetables and potatoes, whole grilled Branzino, and a delicious pasta special. Everything was freshly made, perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious.
Our meal was perfectly cooked and tasted like something straight out of one of Italy's finest family-style restaurants. We savored each dish slowly, allowing ourselves time between bites to take in the atmosphere around us.
Every course was better than the last! Our waiter could not have been friendlier or more helpful throughout this culinary journey.
By dessert time, we couldn't help feeling grateful for having chosen La Pescheria as our destination for dinner. They provided us with top-notch cuisine and an interactive dining experience full of meaningful stories behind each plate served up before us!
Needless to say, I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for an unforgettable culinary adventure right here in downtown Naples! This is definitely one place you don't want...

Just had one of the most unforgettable dining experiences at La Pescheria Naples, hands down the best Italian restaurant not only in Naples, but quite possibly in all of Florida.
I started with an appetizer of shrimp with artichoke, pistachio and parmezan cheese, and it was simply exquisite. The shrimp were sweet, and perfectly cooked, pairing beautifully with the delicate earthiness of the artichokes and the subtle crunch and nuttiness of the pistachios. The flavors were fresh, refined, and harmoniously balanced, a masterclass in Italian coastal cuisine.
For the main course, I had their Cioppino, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Overflowing with the freshest seafood, tender shrimp, succulent clams, mussels, calamari, perfectly cooked fish, all gently simmered in a rich, fragrant tomato broth that captured the essence of the Mediterranean. Each bite transported me to a seaside trattoria in southern Italy.
The ingredients were clearly of the highest quality, and everything tasted as if it had just been pulled from the sea this morning. The presentation was elegant yet unpretentious, and the service was attentive, warm, and genuine, the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like family.
La Pescheria isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a celebration of authentic Italian flavors, done with love and precision. If you’re looking for an elevated yet deeply soulful Italian seafood experience, this is the place. A must-visit. A repeat-worthy destination. A true culinary treasure in the heart of Naples.
