One problem from getting 5 stars which i would’ve given except we were charged 14 dollars for corn dip that on the menu is 12 dollars, we were charged 18 dollars for the hot chicken sandwich, which on the menu was 14 dollars and lastly we were charged 5 dollars for a cup of coffee that when I called and asked I was quoted 3 dollars. So I would like someone to explain to me these extra charges because when I asked our server (who was otherwise lovely) she said the menu was wrong. Now I worked in the service industry long enough to spot a scam when I see one and this seems sus. Otherwise this place was 5 stars and I would’ve loved to have given y’all 5 stars because it was great but come on with the misleading prices, either say something ahead of time or admit something shady is going down! We sat at the bar and Kirby Lyle was our bartender.. he was interesting to talk to, and he made a delicious margarita. He also provides some lounge entertainment too. We checked in to eat with Sherell, who was lovely and checked on us the entire time. Our server was Evelyn, who offered honest feedback about the food and she was spot on, however she did not divulge that the menu prices were different from what we were charged and when we asked, she said the menu was wrong. The corn dip was really good, the enchiladas were my favorite and the blueberry cobbler was excellent-we just wish we weren’t...
Read moreI’m not typically jazzed to spend my precious, limited vacation meals IN the hotel, but this was one of few exceptions to my rule. My first night, I went down to the restaurant bar as it was late and I just didn’t feel like dealing with figuring it out elsewhere. But it ended up being such a special accident that I got to spend my inaugural night chatting and being truly entertained by the bartender. The drinks were fantastic and I had him surprise me with his own creations- I can’t even tell you what they were but they “slapped”, as the kids say! And as if the genuine conversation and great cocktails weren’t enough- he whips out a guitar and starts riffing! When in Nashville, I guess :) Turns out he’s a musician and in the process of making another album, so I’m happy to say I met him on his way up. Anyway, I was staying for three nights, and found myself capping off my evenings back with Kirby Lyle (search him and stream him!). Downtown was a bit too hectic, and it was so much more homey and personal at the bar with Kirby. I just wanted to send him a shout out because he made my trip more than it was going to be and I really appreciate him and his genuine energy. ...
Read moreTo be clear, this review is for the M Club (concierge level) NOT the Bar/Restaurant….
I can’t believe we didn’t take advantage of the concierge level in previous stays at this hotel. The amenities are totally worth the additional charge per night. The breakfast offerings are delicious and plentiful. And Evelyn always serves up an ample helping of helpfulness and congeniality to go with the food and Starbucks coffee.l she also runs a tight ship and keeps the place clean and tidy. Cocktail hour appetizers have been tasty( although truth be told, a beer or glass of wine would go a long way). Desserts are served in the evening that rival most moms’ pecan pie and chocolate brownies. The space is open 24hrs and refrigerators are stocked with waters and canned, non-alcoholic beverages. The Starbucks automated coffee machine is also accessible 24hrs for those desiring around the clock caffeination (or hot chocolate/tea). The room is perfect for remote work or family conversation. There’s ample seating and good lighting....
