Just as a clarification because I found this confusing, this wine bar is simply the bar for the restaurant Ravello and we were able to grab seats easily without a reservation. There are also some high top tables around and outside the bar area....the whole setup is just a bit confusing and they would benefit from some clarifying signage or something, I thought this was different places.
Large amount of wine options available and you should not have a hard time finding something you like, service was good, but not excellent. Bartender seemed to have to spend a lot of time helping areas outside the bar itself which pulled him away a bit, however we were in no rush and I never really felt the waits were excessive.
We split a pasta dish and a flatbread pizza, based on the reviews I did not go in with very high expectations however the food was very good. Portions were small though considering the prices and I did leave hungry but just couldn't justify any more expense on food.
During our stay this was the only sit down meal we had and I think it was a good choice, the atmosphere was great and the food and drink options were good. Service was fine, my biggest issue was the portion sizes. I'd recommend a stop even if your just looking...
Read moreI found this a wonderful space. Wine bars, to me, can be weird. This one was situated perfectly between at space and the option to have the Ravello menu in the wine bar indoor patio with comfy chairs was a delight. The service was wonderful. The hostess station requires a proper guest's patience. The wine is interesting enough and does not seem like allocation born reading created by a warprofiteering blubbery fatass like we oftentimes see in newer cities, making it closer to a true wine list of proper communication even at such plain design in concept of simple sort. The food was really good in preparation and selection in what I enjoyed. I didn't find the price unreasonable for what it is as I dine this way often, regularly. I found it to be well done and nicely casual. We did spend less than $100 per person as a pizza and a glass of wine is such, but it truly is just over a hundred a person at a glass of wine, salad, pizza appetizer, and dinner course. Obviously, it's a wine bar and you can go for only wine making it a $50...
Read moreUnfortunately this is the worst service I have ever had at a wine bar. The hosts at the adjoining restaurant were very welcoming and nice and showed us over the wine bar area. That’s were the compliments end. The first bartender was a little standoffish but not a huge deal. We were told we could get our drinks and sit in the courtyard area (part of the wine bar), which we did. Then another a bartender (and maybe the manager) comes if we very rudely and aggressively taking things off the table and telling us that the area is closed (he let us stay but then proceeded to go yell at the hosts who let us sit there). The wine I had was very subpar (I wasn’t able to try it before ordering) and when I asked if I could try something different the same bartender grabbed my glass, made a snarky comment, and then gave me a menu and walked away without offering to answer any of my questions about the wine. Would NOT recommend. I would only go back to the Ravello restaurant next door instead (where the people are...
