PAY MORE, EXPECT LESS SERVICE WITH A SIDE OF NASTY ATTITUDE !
I departed my room at roughly 12:00 pm Saturday to attend a wedding. I contacted the front desk and asked that my room be cleaned. I was told that the hotel could not have my room cleaned because there was one housekeeper for the entire hotel. I found that to be a remarkably dishonest statement, as I had seen several housekeepers in the elevators and on floor where I stayed.
Upon checking in, I was informed by the front desk that they do not clean rooms unless requested by the guest; however, when I requested service, I was denied. I had my grandson, who is a diaper-wearing toddler in my room from time to time during my stay. I had refuse from snacks and other food that I had eaten. It is unacceptable for me to stay in a room with garbage for the entirety of my stay.
Sunday at 10:45 am, I attempted to enter my room to find the key card deactivated. I contacted the hotel using the number on Google Maps. After about 20 rings, someone answered the phone and said, âMay I put you on hold?â I attempted to say, âNo, I am locked out of my room,â but was placed on hold for over five minutes. I walked down the hall and attempted to ask two different housekeepers to assist me, but both indicated that they spoke no English. I called the hotel again and was again put on an immediate hold, without the agent attempting to understand my needs.
I went to the front desk and told the agent that I could not get into my room and that I had been placed on hold several times when I called the hotel. I asked what time was checkout. The girl at the desk indicated that checkout was 11:00 am, so I asked for a brief grace period to get my belongings. The front desk clerk told me to wait âover thereâ and pointed to a corner away from the desk. Since there was no one else in the lobby and I needed immediate service, I remained at the desk and asked for a key to get my belongings. The woman refused and told me that she will see what she could do.
I then asked for the manager, as my only concern was getting my belongings out of the room. The person at the desk did not respond to my request. I then contacted my daughter to make her aware that checkout time was 11. During my conversation, the clerk began raising her voice and then said the most ridiculous thing- that I had knocked over her computer. Astonished by the mere facts-I hadnât touched the computer, the computer was behind barrier, and THE COMPUTER WAS SITTING FIMRLY IN PLACE. I told the clerk that it was absurd for her to accuse me of knocking over her computer and told her that we can easily roll the tape on the lobby cameras. Again, I asked for the manager, which seemed to escalate the situation. The clerk began telling me that she was calling the police and security and I could not be on âher floor!â In disbelief, I made it clear that the floor was not HERS and that I had every right to be there. MEANWHILE, checkout time has expired and I have not been given access to the room and the manager had not been called.
My daughter came to the lobby in a very protective posture and began asking questions of the clerk and the situation escalated; shortly thereafter, security arrived. Security was pleasant and listened to the clerk, then listened to us. He deescalated the situation and escorted us to the adjacent property to speak with a manager.
Two-night stay=$900+no house keeping+ threats+service carts and vacuums in guest elevators +security called (he was quite understanding and diffused the situation)+ accusations+ WORST ATTITUDE EVER+ lies+no answer on the phone. Yeah, NO!

Walked in expecting the usual: some crumbs, some chaos, maybe a lukewarm egg. Instead, I entered a sanctuary of spotless floors, heavenly scented hallways, and shockingly warm service. If Martha Stewart and a hotel inspector had a lovechildâit would be this place.
What Was Ordered Double queen suite. Complimentary breakfast. Pool time. Breakfast was solid for a continental setupânothing fancy, but fresh, hot, and constantly restocked. Waffle station worked overtime. Sausage and eggs were decent, toast never ran out, and somehow the coffee didnât taste like burnt sadness.
Service Commentary Every staff memberâfrom check-in to the kitchen crewâwas genuinely kind. Not fake-nice. Actual helpful humans who didnât look like they were counting the minutes till their break. Housekeeping was lightning-fast and the whole place ran smoother than a Chick-fil-A drive-thru.
Vibe Check Chill. Some families, some suits, nobody weird. No one blasting TikToks on speaker. You could sit in the lobby at 9 AM and actually hear your own thoughts. Calm energy, even when full.
The Space Itself Insanely clean. Not just tidyâsurgically maintained. The lobby had that subtle luxury scent hotels always try and fail to pull off. This one nailed it. Breakfast room? Huge. Pool? Sparkling. Even the elevator felt like it had been wiped down between passengers.
About the Neighborhood Downtown Nashville, right next to the massive convention center. A donut shop called Parlor Doughnuts is steps awayâand itâs not just good, itâs layed-out-like-a-croissant good. Bonus: thereâs a food trailer parked outside the hotel most nights, slinging late-night snacks to the bleary-eyed and bourbon-soaked. Bless it.
Hits & Misses â Impeccably cleanâlike, aggressively spotless â Staff were lovely across the board â Breakfast was decent and always stocked â Huge breakfast area, peaceful atmosphere â Indoor pool was legit â Parlor Doughnuts next door = divine â Late-night food trailer in the lot hits the spot â Steps from the convention center
â Still a chain hotel vibeâdonât expect local flavor â Beds were just okayânot dream-worthy
Final Verdict This place doesnât try to be flashyâit just nails the basics with brutal precision. Clean, calm, convenient. The kind of hotel that quietly raises your standards without saying a word. Bonus points for the donut proximity and the fact you can stumble home with a taco at midnight.

Read more5 stars for the pullout trundle bed couch combo!! 2 queen beds plus that could comfortably sleep 6 people. We had 3 of us so just be sure to ask for extra pillows and blankets if there's more than 3.
Any more than 3 people and it would have made the bathroom situation pretty uncomfortable. It's just one door to enter the bathroom area. The shower is clear glass so couldn't have more than 1 person in there at a time. Also, there's one small basket in the shower for your shower items. Thanks for the shampoo and conditioner and body wash attached to the shower wall. Very convenient.
Great location if you want to hit up Music Row or museums.
WHEN YOU CHECKOUT, BE SURE TO CONFIRM THE CREDIT CARD THEY SHOULD CHARGE. The lady assumed to use the card on file, she beat me to it by about one second to confirm the card. So it took a few minutes to process the refund. I should have requested a receipt of the refund because we see an odd charge on the card. Hoping it zeroes. Everybody was friendly throughout the weekend.
The fridge will freeze your items, so check them often. It's good to BYOB except you can't take it to the pool area. Gulp! $$$$$ Pool gets full quickly on the weekends so claim your spot early, just don't be a chair hog if you're hanging out IN the pool.
You have to call for housekeeping if you need any service to your room. The housekeeping staff in our hall didn't speak English. Contact the front desk if you need to communicate anything. I was able to translate for a couple who was trying to figure something out about their room.
The a/c kept us nice and cool.
The blackout curtains were very much appreciated.
Breakfast buffet was delicious. However, after our 4th morning having eggs and sausage, it got a little old. Potatoes would have been a nice option. The cereal was good. Nutella yum! The 2 waffle makers that take 2:30 each were hogged by a couple Dads making waffles for their entire family. Maybe get a third one or ones that take a minute less.
The elevators take forever and the halls are very warm...so when your luggage cart is full and you're heading to check out, good luck getting in an elevator quickly and without sweating. Luggage carts are with the valet on the first floor. Front desk is on 6th floor.
The Valet staff was amazing!!!!! Yes there are cheaper lots, but the security and access and service is worth it. You can cash tip, but they give you a QR code to tip the team.
