We spent two nights in this hotel this week...9/3-4/24. Over the years we have stayed in many Hampton Inns in various parts of the country. This particular Hampton was very average at best in most respects. The two positives were it''s location although we had to drive around a construction project to find the entrance. The quality of the hotel itself was very poor compared to other Hamptons we have stayed in. This is an old Hampton and the condition of the furniture, carpets and overall decor is below average, especially when the very high room prices are considered. The seats in the breakfast area are old and so low they were hard to sit in. In many places the upholstery on the furniture is torn and shabby. The bathroom commodes are so old that they are quite low to the floor .but at least they do work. The water pressure in the bathroom sink is so low it barely flows out of the faucet. The room was stocked with one tiny bar of soap...pitiful! The lighting in the room is very poor. That said the room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We did have to ask the staff to send someone to deal with the musty odor in our room and they promptly did so and eliminated the problem. If you stay in this hotel plan on paying $55 per night for valet parking which is the only parking available. Also make sure you take an extra car key because when we checked out and were ready to leave they could find our car but lost our car keys. I will say that the parking attendants worked like crazy to find the key and just when they were about to give up , opened a drawer and there it was, not on the hooks with the other car keys. As a result we were delayed about an hour in leaving. The morning breakfast was OUTSTANDING...the best one we have ever seen in a Hampton...kudos to the breakfast staff. Finally, whoever manages this Hampton needs to re-evaluate the quality of their front counter staff, or at least one of them named Jacky. She demonstrated a complete lack of customer relation skills, seemed offended to be asked a question, blurted out when our car key was missing that the Hampton has nothing to do with the valet service, and just in general demonstrated a complete lack of customer handling skills. She needs to be retrained if working at the front desk. Fortunately, we had a good time in the activities in Nashville, but while we picked Hampton as the place to stay because of our experience with other Hampton locations, I wouldnt recommend this particular one to anyone even if the rooms were reasonably priced which...
Read moreThis has been the worst experience I've ever had with the organizational side of a hotel. I highly recommend going to a different hotel if you are going to Nashville with a group.
A few months before we came for our visit, I blocked off 6 hotel rooms for our group. They said to call and cancel what we won't be using at least 2 days before checking in and I wouldn't be charged. I called a week before our arrival to cancel the rooms we didn't need. I was transferred and talked to 5 different people, just to cancel the rooms. I could tell their organization was a mess, so luckily I took thorough notes about the calls and saved all emails. Upon arrival, they didn't have ANY information on the hour long call I had (mentioned above), and didn't have the extra rooms canceled. They told me I needed to print all my emails with the cancellation confirmations or I would be charged for all of those rooms. I asked why they can't just look up the confirmation numbers or emails in their systems (we had dinner reservations to get to and I had several girls waiting to get into the room to get ready). They said they don't have any of the emails or confirmation number on file. So I missed dinner for my sisters bachelorette party because I spent an hour checking in and going back through emails.
I just got home and checked my bank balance and they charged my card over $2,000 for rooms that were not in my name, just rooms that were in our group. Those rooms were paid for in full on Sunday when we checked out. I am on my sixth call to this hotel and have been sent to voice mail 6 times, with absolutely no help from the administration there. The lady that is currently answering the phone is literally picking up the phone when I call and directly transferring me to voicemail (I can hear her picking up, sighing loudly, and then transferring me to VM).
They also had mandatory valet parking for $70 for the weekend, which is fine but it was extremely understaffed. There was one valet person working on Sunday morning during the check out rush, so you basically paid $70 to wait 20 minutes to get a car you could have walked to in a minute.
As a sidebar, I have never left a review for a hotel, and rarely leave reviews. On a positive note, our room was really nice, clean and the hotel was located in a nice spot. The breakfast was great and they had snacks during the day. However, I would NEVER stay here again with how they treat their customers...
Read moreSoooo for some reason when you google search this hotel it shows pool pictures. I booked thinking the hotel has a pool ( for the price of a night, I don’t see why they don’t) THIS HOTEL DOES NOT HAVE A POOL. My husband and I were taking our kids to Nashville for a family fun weekend. Breakfast was supplied but it literally consists of a granola bar, oj, milk and cereal (pics below). Oh and you can get coffee. Again for the price or the hotel hot breakfast should’ve been served. Now my kids are in a hotel with no pool and couldn’t even experience the “hotel life” I have family in Nashville, we seriously could’ve just saved 550 dollars and stayed with them since the only thing the hotel offers is a bed. Anyways, once we arrive we are informed that there is mandatory valet parking. 45 dollars a night. Not a problem, except they have only ONE VALET ATTENDANT. He literally has to drive a car down and back up around the clock by himself. Don’t be in a hurry to get anywhere because I had to wait 25 minutes for my car to be brought up due to a the line ahead of me with people waiting on their cars. I kept asking if I could just park my own car. I would even forfeit the 90 dollars of valet just to not have to keep waiting. Coming back to the hotel with food we had to wait another 15 min to give valet out keys. Like that is insane! How dare u charge 90 dollars and I’m wasting close to 30 min for my car! I asked why valet was required , he stated that the garage is packed and they don’t want any accidents. Well I left a bag in the car and they let me get my keys to go to the garage. I go to the garage and it’s literally at most 10 cars down there. So much for being packed! Lastly at checkout the next day everyone was outside waiting on their car and still one valet attendant. I asked for my keys, its funny they let me drive my car out of the garage that time because it was so many people waiting. They could have let me do that Friday and Saturday and saved me the stress of trying to keep my kids still while waiting in a parking lot. I gave two stars because the older man at the desk apologized many times because he was aware of the pool pictures. He offered for me to get a free movie for my kids. I appreciated the offer but declined because I couldnt trust that it would be free. After all the money that they have received from me, no way I was even giving them 15 dollars for a movie. Would not recommend you stay...
