This hotel was very nice don't get me wrong on that aspect. But the staff/management is not professional! I was sent a text that morning of check in asking what time we would be checking in. I texted back and replied 4:00. We arrived there around 3:45. 45 minutes after the normal check in of 3:00. We were told our room would not be ready for another 30 minutes to 45 minutes. My husband and I were attending a concert that we had standing floor tickets for and we needed to get there ahead of time to get a good spot. We waited the allotted time that we were told and I went back to the desk to check back in. Sedrick (front desk manager) told me he was going to go check on our room. We were the only guests waiting in the lobby for a room. We also had traveled 2 1/2 hours and there was no bathroom in sight to use since our room was not ready. Sedrick came back down and said he was going to look for a different room as our booked room had been flooded. He ended up giving us another room by 4:45 (hour and 45 minutes after check in time) which was an ADA double bed room. We had a king bed room booked originally since November of last year. These rooms are generally cheaper than a king bed room. I asked if we were going to be given a discount and he told us he would take care of it. While we were checking out the next morning, Hanna told me she would get with the manager and send us an updated bill with the discount THAT DAY so we left. I did not see anything come through the next day, so I called. I talked to another manager who said Hanna was working on it and she would resend the bill. Still nothing. Now we are a week later. I called and spoke with Hanna again and she said Sedrick was with someone then comes back 5 minutes later and says he has left. I am not stupid. I have been lied to every single time by this whole crew who keeps telling me I will be getting a refund for the room we did not get and for the time we missed out on for not getting to the concert at the time we were supposed to. Hanna said she was going to call me back yesterday in 45 minutes and never heard back. This is absolutely ridiculous! I would never stay here again with the dishonest crew who keeps putting me off. They have told me all 4 times we would be getting a refund then have been putting me off. Not Acceptable. Yes the hotel was clean and nice but not worth staying at a place...
Read moreThey don't include breakfast. Their mini fridge in the room doesn't have a freezer section. no trash bags in the trash bins, which seems messy and harder to dispose of when full. Parking is a joke. Even as a diamond member, there's no discount. This is not Hilton or Marriot or even higher end IHG. To not include breakfast or parking and the basic room amenities such as a freezer is ridiculous. I expect lacking items from a lower quality place or not, including things. However, I also would expect to be charged more and have to pay for things like parking and breakfast at higher end places. For a basic holiday inn that has some modern rooms and decent location, I have to say it was overpriced and not worth it. The people are friendly and is convenient location, but if I'm paying this much to have to park on top of the room and not include other items, I would have looked at other hotels. By all means it's not a terrible place but would recommend if you're going to stay downtown near Broadway either a don't and find something 10 minutes out and uber in or B pick a better hotel chain or something higher end if you're going to have to pay the ridiculous prices.
As to the response below, the bodega is a small market that's convenient but double the price of any regular gas station or convenient store close by. as for breakfast, if I'm paying for it, you can be sure it won't be at a small overpriced deli breakfast bodega, sorry. Again, better off elsewhere. I've stayed at many IHG properties, and I different large cities where they at least offer parking or breakfast and snacks occasionally at certain times if not a 2 breakfast voucher. Cities like Indianapolis, Columbus, Milwaukee area. It's clear this place is trying hard to be that of higher end living off Nashville status while still being a basics IHG Holiday branch. If that's the case, then maybe put more money into the place or even look at making it a Hotel Indigo. I looked at 3 different sites, 2 prior said parking at the site and covered. Didn't say to pay. Wasn't until I showed up and found a 3rd site that confirmed it. Misleading and not worthwhile. Again, choose a different place unless you're made of money and don't mind...
Read moreBy far one of the worst IHG or Holiday Inn's I have ever stayed in. I use almost exclusively Holiday Inn's and this place has me rethinking my loyalty.
The room was tiny, you couldn't even walk on the one side of the bed, had to crawl in from the foot of the bed to get to my side. The room was mostly clean, some leftover hair in the bathtub and straw wrappers on the floor but overall not horrible.
The check-in staff were great. The porter was nice, but overly pushy in trying to help with our bags even after I politely declined multiple times the need for assistance.
One elevator was broken, making there only one working elevator for a 9 story hotel. Not excited that I had to truck luggage up and down four flights of stairs since the one elevator was not enough for the flow.
Unlike most all other Holiday Inn's, we had to pay $13/person for breakfast, and it was the worst breakfast of any of the 5 holiday Inn's we stayed in the past 2 weeks of our trip.
Pool was one of the coldest we stayed in the past two weeks. Weird too with more "deep" end than area for kids to play. Rarely have I seen an 8 feet deep end in a hotel pool.
They were out of bacon, and when she did finally put more out 25 mins after asking, it was undercooked microwave bacon at best. The scrambled eggs were full of water, bread and bagels we tried were stale, the "fresh" fruit was at least a few days old. No pancake or waffle machine like every other of the 40+ Holiday Inn's I stayed in 2024 have. Definitely worth going ANYWHERE else for breakfast and save your $13.00.
Not knowing Nashville, I assumed "Downtown" meant near all of the bars / restaurants and Downtown. This place is a 10-12 min drive to most anything, and sits right next to the busy highway so you can hear the semi's rumbling through all night.
Unfortunately the pros of the evening check in staff, outweighs the cons, and we will never stay at this...
