Denim — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

1 star is generous!!! Considering this is an upscale high end hotel the service in the rooftop restaurant Denim was embarrassing and quite honestly shocking. Our server clearly showed on her face how busy they were and how annoyed she was even prior to getting to our table which took about 20 minutes. Then when she did get to our table it took her another 20 minutes to get the drinks. I understand being busy but don’t let your patrons know you’re stressed out.

We asked for 2 dirty Belvedere martinis and it shows up on the rocks in a highball glass which unless someone specifically asks for it that way you don’t serve a martini in that manner. When I asked her what the drink was she was annoyed and offered to make a new one (with an attitude). After waiting that long I decided we’d definitely not take that route.

As locals we won’t be back and certainly won’t t recommend this restaurant. The fact that I left the girl a 15% tip is a gift in my opinion as I’m usually a great tipper but she should have received nothing and needs to go serve at...

You ever get that feeling you’re just bothering the wait people who work at a place just by existing? Yeah this was a night like that.

They seated us (and it was difficult to tell at first) - but the outdoor cushioned seats were soaking wet when sat on. The staff appeared to know about this (but failed to warn us beforehand). Once the entire backs of our pants were soaked through they asked “did you want a towel?”

No thanks, this sitting in my own wet clothing in a cold breezy night is exactly what I was hoping for.

The just-shut-up-and-stop-complaining vibe continued as they decided to substitute drinks without asking what we would like instead (they had run out of something we ordered).

And when we asked why they didn’t just ask, were we’re treated by a visit from the manager because “she heard we were upset.”

But at least a 20% tip was automatically included for all of that great service.

Please spare yourself this vaguely...

Came here for dinner last night while staying at the hotel. We ordered most of the items on the menu. Burger is the best. The salads are good. Skip the pizza as the dough is subpar. It reminds me more of frozen flatbread. The reason for the below average rating is the service experience as a whole and not our waiter. We were outside by the pool and it was chilly out. Their propane heater ran out of propane. And it took a full hour for them to replace it. Meanwhile, the tables (appears to be friends of the manager) next to us got it within minutes of their arrival. We inquired about the heater a couple of times with no luck. Not sure what the situation is but there was no communication or update while we waited. It left us with the feeling that the management staff is busy entertaining their friends and didn’t cared enough to try to make it an enjoyable...
