After driving 12 hrs from TN we had our hearts on a good meal. Stop in. I ask hostess for a booth that is quiet. She gave a snerd sigh, no smile, no hello, nothing. She took me to booth where she showed that she didn't appreciate that she had to clean which she made clear she didn't appreciate. Sitting down, the table was so sticky & wet that it tokk my cleaning it TWICE with their napkins just to have a decent table. Took forever for order to be taken. The hour we were there eating, we we're checked on twice yet not even eye contact or even listened too, just huge rush. All workers never made eye contact with anyone, did not chat a moment, were not friendly, did not make us feel welcome by any means, all acted like they were too busy & too snobby to really serve us. I needed another plate & drink, finally had to track one down. They took hubbs plate away too fast without asking if he was done. Upon asking for another plate so I could give hubbs part of my food, they took another several mins of jumping around not really paying attention to people before the gitl came back. By that time, I had waited an hour, with lady ignoring all but 2 times. I finally got manager. After being fed up & to upset to finish eating because I have a rare brain Iillness & swallow disorder, I decided to get up & leave. They brought me an unsweet tea to take home after the waitress let my SWEET TEA water down too far to drink. She never would refill it or give a fresh one. When manager came to table, I told him I was given unsweet tea & all the issues. Then, they added this kids game on their computer thing at table to our bill. Over all. Service here is disgusting. I would be embarrassed as any restaurant owner to know they run this place this way. Their staff clearly ignores you, won't make eye contact & rushes you every step of the way rarely asking if you need anything. Worst Experience I've ever had in any restaurant. I'll be sending a letter to home office because from beginning to end, we were treated like a number to be rushed out of there instead of people wanting a nice, non rushed dining experience. These ladies had bad attitudes too. Unreal. Just unreal. We should have gotten refunded & I will ask for that with home office. The manager should have refunded it all because I wasn't even given time to EAT IT ALL because they rush you while ignoring you. I guess we are just a number to them. Read moreToday has to be my family's most memorable experience at Applebee's of New Bern. We have tried this place over and over with results that are mediocre and that is why this will be our last... First, we call to make sure Alexa, the bartender is working because if she isn't, were not going. Next, we have three wrapped silverwares and out of those three, two are filthy. Next, it's hot as hell in there. We ask 4 different employees for some A/C to be turned on, but with no results. But, you better believe the music is so loud you can't even hear the person beside you Then, my family isn't even able to halfway finish our meals because of the heat, so we put the rest into doggie boxes and low and behold, there's a 6-inch strand of hair in my mashed potatoes. Not once did a manager come speak to me about this. Alexa offered to get a new meal fixed for me (I hardly touched mine), but after the hair in my food, the last thing I want is another meal. We are officially disgusted. We spend, almost every Sunday, $70 - $80 dollars, and maybe it's just us, but we want great service, great food, great atmosphere, cleanliness -- great beginning to end -- and that's far from what we receive here. We are now holding them accountable because someone has to know this is unacceptable. One hostess/waitress had her cleavage bouncing out of her shirt, one had her lower back/butt showing because the shirt was riding up... this is not what you want to see when eating. As much as we enjoy Alexa's service to us, this has gone too far and we will not ignore these issues or problems anymore. Read moreStopped in for lunch with my husband. He ordered the southwest bowl and I had the Bourbon Street burger with fries. We each ordered ice tea, mine unsweetened. I asked for sweet n low as our drinks were set on the table. Nothing. Then our waitress came and took our order....still no sweet n low. Order arrived via another waitress. Husband asked where the side of hot sauce was. She said she would get it. And we also asked for silverware. Nothing. Still no sweet n low. A waitress who gave us our order stopped our original waitress and told her our table needs silverware. Ok, she says. She brings over the silverware and I ask after 2/3 of my tea was gone, where the sweet n low was. She reaches back by the stairwell and grabs it and sets it on the table. My husband asks again, where is the hot sauce? She says, "sorry" and disappears. Now mind you she saw our tea glasses were now 1/4 way to empty and didnt bother to ask us if we wanted a refill. Five minutes later my husband stops a waiter and says, "Hey can I get the hot sauce that goes with this"? He said, sure and brought to the table in less than a minute. I asked for honey mustard and he brought to our table in less than a minute. I was not asked, how I would like my burger cooked.....needless to say it was over cooked and very dry. I prefer medium. My husband asked for the check from our waitress and that's when she decided we needed more tea. Seriously?
