Dear [Coffee Shop Cafe Bon Ami Manager],

I'm writing to follow up on my wonderful experience at your coffee shop last Friday. I enjoyed a delicious macchiato and had a lovely time. I was so impressed that I returned this morning, eager to repeat the experience. Unfortunately, my visit this morning was vastly different.

The barista who served me seemed quite unfriendly and unwelcoming. While I understand that everyone has off days, her demeanor created an unpleasant atmosphere. Furthermore, I specifically ordered a macchiato, but received a latte instead. This small mistake, coupled with the less-than-stellar customer service, left me feeling disappointed.

I got the strawberry matcha latte and my friend got the cherry vanilla latte. It should've been a red flag when the barista first assumed I wanted a hot strawberry matcha latte, never have I ever seen a cafe serve that drink hot, but I corrected her to iced. Then as soon as the drink was handed over I knew it wasn't going to be any good. The palest matcha latte I've ever seen and almost no strawberry purée and no attempt at layering. It tasted like slightly strawberry milk with hardly a hint of a matcha. After one sip it went straight in the trash. My friend said her latte wasn't any good either and only took a few sips of her drink. I was excited thinking maybe the cafe was Asian owned since they have black sesame on their permanent menu and I saw salted egg yolk in their specials from previous reviewers, but I won't be going back to try anything else...

I wanted to love this place but the moment I walked in I had a bad vibe from the barista today. I was excited about the different flavors. But it changes which is fine. The barista looked bothered that I came 1/2 hour before closing. I mean, if you are still opened you should look opened. There wasn’t anyone there when I came in and not much food was out. She made my drink- it sadly didn’t taste much like Biscoff . Then two girls came in after me and her tone changed. She didn’t charge them for their coffee so I’m assuming they are friends. Then a man came in and she was super nice to him. Judging from some of the reviews seems like she just doesn’t want to be nice to some people. The place was clean. Not busy.
