This is the best BBQ in New Orleans, hands down. Stopped in around 2PM on a Sunday before the Saints game and was surprised to find plenty of parking spots so close to the restaurant, and it was free on Sundays! We were greeted immediately when we walked in the door, and service could not have been better or friendlier. They clearly knew the system and were able to take our order swiftly, but without ever feeling like we were being rushed. I know very well how BBQ places operate, they've got it til they sell out. But we were able to get everything we wanted! We shared a three-meat plate between two people with fatty brisket, massive pork ribs, sausage, red beans & rice, and coleslaw. All for just $26! They even brought out some of their house-made pimento cheese, deep-fried saltines, and candies jalapenos for us to try. AND you can get the beers from Saint X Brewery on draft (or bring some home in cans). The brewery is connected to Devil Moon, so even if you come in right before they close, you can just walk straight in to the brewery for more. We got the saison which was fabulous, but the real star was the Sunny Shine Citrus Sour Ale. We both agreed that is our new favorite local beer. We went over to the brewery after and got another round, where the whole experience continued to wow us. This place isn't even in our area, and will DEFINITELY be coming back!!

Closest thing to Texas BBQ in the city. Quality brisket with pickles, onions, a Big Red, a slice of white bread, and some killer sides is impossible to find anywhere else. The potato salad and coleslaw were particularly good. The brisket was flavorful and well-prepared. If there’s anything to tweak: we’d prefer a bit of extra smokiness (may be limited by their pit location/infrastructure) and different pickles (they appear to be made in house but not your standard dill flavor). Thanks for a great meal!

Great place to grab some lunch down in the CBD. Atmosphere is open and lots of places to seat large parties. They have a trailer out back where they smoke all their meat. Staff and chefs are all local New Orleans cats. Very friendly. Got a fresh slice of ribs, turkey, and sausage. Couldn't decide which one to not finish because I was so full. Come in with an empty stomach. Only problem was the cap for their mustard sauce was too small. I wanted to smother everything in it.

Absolutely unsanitary food preparation. STAY AWAY!

I walked in around 2:30 today and was very excited to try out the new BBQ joint in town. I was waiting for my food and I was watching the employees prepare my food through their very open kitchen. Unfortunately my wife saw an employee insert his gloved finger into his nose and then into the container of pulled pork that went onto the plate he was making for me. After she alerted me of this horribly unsafe and disgusting food preparation I personally witnessed him doing the exact same thing before reaching into the container of onions that also went onto my plate. Unbelievably he continued to grab at his face and nose before he reached into the bread bag to finish my order. As I was completely grossed out by this point I decided to let the person who took my order know that I was not going to touch that food. Unfortunately I was not offered a refund for food I had already paid for even though it never left the kitchen.

I do not believe the restaurant owner was present for this lunch service but I would advise them to retrain staff on food prep and...

From drunk managers and chefs to downright disappointing menu offerings, this place is sure to disappoint you.

I’ve had barbecue throughout the southern US and this place has some of the driest and flavorless smoked meats of them all. The sides are super disappointing too. Mac and cheese is watery, dirty rice just tastes like bitter ground brisket and hot sauce, while the potato salad is like a dried out clump of cold mashed potatoes.

The staff seem to stand around a lot on their phones, leaning on countertops, and the general manager is a workplace bully with a reputation for drinking on the job.

I’ve also visited other restaurants the head chef has worked at and honestly it seems like he’s copying someone else’s work. Or perhaps it’s the other way around. Who knows. The point is, this place lacks originality in concept and technique. It’s nothing special and there’s no reason to go out of your way to taste some less than mediocre barbecue and support the jerks who...
