Located in NOLA, outside of the FQ, is this brewery. It boasts a small menu with a kitchen that closes at 10pm. I had some kind of hurricane drink, boudin balls (split with my group), smoked chicken wings, pork cracklins, and my wife had the beef fat fried french fries. The drink was tasty. Not much to say about them. The boudin balls departed from the traditional with only a little rice and a ton of meat... Not entirely sure they should be called boudin balls, but rather, fried meat balls. The sauce and banana peppers served with them didn't pair very well with the boudin balls. The pork cracklins also departed from the norm. They didn't have that classic crunch in the skin, and was somewhat chewy. If you like spicy, then these are for you, as they were pretty spicy (imho). Perhaps lay off the spices a bit? They also came with a mustard-based sauce, to which I didn't try, so I can't comment on it. The smoked chicken wings were ok. I had the buffalo chicken wings, and asked the waitress to bring it with the sauce separately. It was a good thing too... I can't put my finger on it, but I just didn't like the taste. The buffalo sauce was... Well... Eh. It also came with ranch dressing, which I asked for and the ranch actually tasted nice. My wife's fries were actually pretty good. Being that I had my own food, I didn't eat much of them, but I totally would have if I didn't already have so much on my plate (pun intended). The atmosphere was... Eh... Where we were seated, the speakers were loud and it was hard to have a decent convo with the people we were with. After aboit an hour, the place filled with people, and wait times became longer. Kinda natural, I guess, especially after a pelicans game. After we got done, we settled tour bill, and walked to out car where we then discovered that our car had been booted... AFTER we had ALREADY PAID THE CRAZY EXPENSIVE PARKING RATE for the parking lot, and parked in a space reserved for customers of this establishment... Now, let me add... This is NO FAULT of Saint X... This is the fault of the security company, who roves the parking lots. Apparently, they don't care to check that people have paid, and also assume that it's just some rando parking there... Welp, after hailing one of the servers and talking to the manager, they told the security woman that they actually pay for us OR their employees to use those spots and she had removed the boot... So, all in all, do with that info what you will... Also, see my review of the parking lot. 🙄👀 Sort after the long (lol, yes, more long to come😂🤣👀), If you want superb food, this place will disappoint. It's kinda mediocre tbh. I feel that more care could have been placed into making sure the food was more authentic to the Louisianan/cajun culture. I'll give them props for trying... But guys... Owners... Don't try so hard... You have the BEST of cajun at your fingertips. People either love it or hate it. Don't make people hate it cause you try to make it more fancy... Stick with the cajun roots... Otherwise, the food was ok. So far as the atmosphere is concerned, I suggest to place the speakers better and to lower the music. In this setting, people care less about the music and more about the booze and their convo amongst one another. So far as the service, I can't dock you guys for being basically instantly inundated with people. It's nola, it's a weekend, and there was an event. So, great job. I am also very much thankful for the way that the manager handled the booting situation... My suggestion for that, is to somehow communicate with the parking and booting agencies and somehow make it abundantly crystal clear that your spots are YOUR PAID SPOTS, so they don't boot your customers. Anyways, thanks for the experience!

Tonight was my first time coming in since Brewery Saint X opened. My friend and I came through of course since most places in the area are closed during this time. They have a late night happy hour 9:00 P.M.-11:00 P.M. The music is fire 🔥 (Common & Outkast). The only downfall is happy hour menu only had one food item (dog of the day). The flavoring with the holy Trinity he was really good. However, it was a little tough to my liking because of the casing of the sausage. Once they smoke it (gets a little tougher). To be honest. The last time I came, I said I would never get the wings again. They were nice enough to give us complementary wings (not expecting that). They prepare the wings a little differently versus the last time I was here. I will literally come back just for the wings. Smoked BBQ wings A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. 🙌🏾 There’s beer, frozen cocktail specials. I had the frozen pimms cup. The Pimms cups was nice and fresh I can taste the ginger, beer and cucumber. It was fresh and refreshing. I definitely got to come here more often late nights. Doing the day the vibe isn’t so bad. But late night it’s definitely up 🆙 Our server Griffen was great! And well as Matt one of the managers.

This brewery was recommended by the nail shop around the corner. Cute vibe/  environment. Great staff. They were closed for a private event but accommodated us as soon as they flipped the place and were open. I'm not a huge beer drinker. But I tried to that I actually liked- Cypress and I believe charm school. Ordered green tomatoes. That were okay.  You get a lot but I wish they would have come w/romoulade sauce. Tomatoes tasted as if they werent in season or weren't ripe enough.  Beef fat fries and sauce were a delicious little bite. Feedback on other things ordered from the group. Boudin balls & the gumbo were just OK, lacked flavor. Wings- lemon pepper flavor was good. Smoked nicely. Shrimp dip- cold, Which we were not expecting. thought it would be like a hot cheesy. Seafood dip. More like a seafood salad which was disgusting. The crackers were good though. Overall, not a huge fan of the food l, but drinks and service were good!

I typically don’t review places but hopefully this will help them improve and learn from issues. I have been to Saint X a few times and have had great experiences. Unfortunately, today, was not one of them. I made a reservation for 7 a week ago or so and when we arrived at the restaurant at the reservation time the hostess told us it would just be a few minutes until they printed out new menus (not sure why we couldn’t be seated then they bring us the menus). After 15 minutes of not being seated we told her we were going to sit at the bar until our table was ready. Another 20 minutes past before we were seated. We never had a server come until we asked the bar if we could place an order and the bartender came and took our order - only for drinks she said she couldn’t take food orders (???). More employees showed up and we still had to ask if we could have a server to order food - when we did order food the order was incorrect. Also, the pimento cheese was supposed to be served with fried saltines and we got regular wheat ritz?? Ordered one turkey sandwich it was never put in to the kitchen then they came out with two saying that’s what we ordered when we asked where it was (the waitress didn’t write down our order when she took it). It was honestly just a disaster and the place was super unorganized. We decided instead of getting more drinks that we would go down to Walk Ons instead. Really let down by...
