Delicious Lunch with Great Vibes 😊
Visited District All Day Delicious for lunch, and everything from the food to the ambiance made it a wonderful experience...We started with a side of KFC (Korean Fried Cauliflower) ... perfectly crunchy cauliflower and potatoes tossed in a flavorful sweet chili sauce. It was a fun and tasty twist, and a great way to kick off the meal.
For the main plate, we had the Egg White Migas .... a delightful and wholesome dish made with fluffy egg whites, soft corn tortillas, tangy rancheros, crumbled cotija cheese, and creamy avocado. The flavors were so well-balanced and satisfying , light yet packed with taste. Easily one of the best egg-based dishes we’ve had in a while.
In drinks, we tried the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and the All Day Martini. The iced coffee was rich, smooth, and energizing....so good that I’m definitely going back for it again. The All Day Martini was another highlight which was a perfect mix of gin, Cocchi, vermouth, and a touch of orange blossom. Not only did it taste fantastic, but it was also served in a beautifully designed glass that made the whole experience feel even more special.
The staff was welcoming, warm, and attentive....they added to the pleasant vibe of the place.
Overall, District lived up to its name.... all-day delicious 😋. Highly recommended for anyone looking for fresh, thoughtful food and well-crafted drinks in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
🔥 Hot Chicken Honey Butter Sandwich & Vietnamese Iced Coffee – A Winning Combo 😋
As I said before, I was definitely going to revisit this place and yes, I did.... This time, I went back not just for that unforgettable Vietnamese Iced Coffee, but also to try their Hot Chicken Honey Butter Sandwich… and whoa, what a combo 😋
Let’s start with the star of the show: Hot Chicken Honey Butter Sandwich .... Served on a French toast biscuit, the battered fried chicken is crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and slathered with a rich, sweet honey butter that adds just the right contrast. It's got sweetness, a kick of heat, and a buttery richness that makes every bite unforgettable. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had hands down.
This place has officially become a favorite, and I’ll be back again whenever it happens to visit NOLA...no doubt in that. Delicious food, creative twists, and bold flavors...
Read moreI have recently relocated to lead a hotel in the New Orleans Downtown area. My son and I have been trying different restaurants so that we could recommend from personal experience. We went to this location for breakfast/brunch but they only do brunch on the weekends. Breakfast was not all day and they were serving lunch. The server was very nice and said that if we wanted a specific item from the breakfast menus we would that she would ask the chef. Great! We asked about the breakfast burrito. It took a little bit of discussion but the server came back to say they were out of tortillas. I happened to glance back at the kitchen area and got a very pointed stare without a smile from someone who I believe was the chef. She met my gaze, held it, and no smile. My son chose a burger and I chose the Shrimp and Grits. We also had ordered Vietnamese coffee. The server apologized and told us there was a delay. Not a problem. After we received our food order, and had started eating, we signaled another server to ask about the coffee. He went to check, and happened to run into our server. He came back and told us that our “server had already told us it was delayed.” He provided no update. It felt like we were being scolded. It was prior to 2pm in the afternoon but everyone there seemed to be rushing around to organize for the evening service, and it felt that we were bothering them. Our server came back to apologize and explain that she needed to assist the barista on making the coffee, but had been delayed by having to tend to her customers. She was never rude but seemed rushed. It is the reason the service score was not lower. The food was good and we did finally get our coffee. We won’t be back but from their score, maybe we visited on an...
Read moreOh. My. God. If you’re thinking about going - do it. Immediately.
We originally went as I was looking for a brunch restaurant that could accommodate my dad (he’s in a wheelchair/service dog), and we were also looking for something that prioritizes their food quality. Look, I like NOLA but I was tired of the standard, touristy, overpriced options. The pancakes in the Google listing + ability to make a reservation made the choice easy for us.
When we arrived we were greeted by the co-owner and immediately felt welcomed. It was an awesome surprise to also find that they offered delicious coffee options and we promptly ordered. We ordered an array of coffee (honey cinnamon latte, honey lavender latte, and iced vanilla bean latte - all delicious!) and for food the Lemon Ricotta pancakes, BLT, and Hot Chicken & Honey Biscuit. The pancakes are INCREDIBLE. My mother - who LOVES pancakes - was obsessed with them. The BLT was great and the hot chicken was so-so, but was made up by the delicious potatoes served as a side.
Upon leaving we immediately planned another day to come for breakfast for more pancakes. Upon our second visit we got more pancakes (the lemon + the Pigs in a Blanket), coffees, and the GM Plate. We were all satisfied and became curious on how they created the most perfect pancakes recipe. I’m not kidding - I hate pancakes and will now dream of them.
If you’re considering this place just do yourself a favor and go. Sure, the more “popular” choice is on the corner of the same strip, but it doesn’t compare to this place. Truly. The service, the atmosphere, and the menu are fantastic. Amazing!!
P.S. they have doughnuts/pastries and house-made ice cream as well. We never ordered them, but they all looked fantastic and had great...
