Fantastic Find for Breakfast - Leni’s Cafe on Magazine St My recent visit to Leni’s Cafe in New Orleans was an absolute delight. Tucked away on Magazine St, this cafe offers a wonderful escape from the busier, tourist-packed spots. With a charming 60s diner ambiance, Leni’s provides an open and welcoming setting perfect for a breakfast outing. The food was outstanding across the board. We ordered a variety of items: eggs with ham, pancakes, and an egg poboy - all basic but each dish was prepared perfectly, highlighting the high-quality ingredients used. The pancakes were fluffy, the eggs well-cooked, and the poboy was a flavorful, hearty start to the day. Service at Leni’s Cafe was equally impressive. The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring our meals were served promptly. Despite its high-quality offerings, we were pleasantly surprised to find no wait time, which is a rarity in such a popular city for dining. Overall, Leni’s Cafe is a gem in New Orleans. It’s ideal for anyone looking for high-quality breakfast options served in a friendly, diner-like environment. Highly recommend for a satisfying start to your day without the typical wait times of the not-far-away tourist staples.

First time here. Had the hamburger steak, snap beans and potato salad. Let me tell you. I smashed my lunch plate. Even went into the kitchen and told the owner how much i enjoyed it. Told him, I could eat the potato salad for breakfast. He gave me a container of potato salad to take home. I WILL be back. Definitely will be back. Everything tasted like he started cooking and prepping at 5am like your grandfather/mother did on Sundays. Mr. Pete...your a hidden gem. Should have a line all the way to canal waiting to taste your meals. Thank you again. Very friendly staff. First food review I have ever left btw. It was that good.

From the outside looking in the place doesn't look that great and even the inside is a little on the outdated side. I ASSURE YOU THOUGH you FORSURE should stop here if you are in the area. The food and service are AMAZING! Very friendly environment, I got the breakfast sandwich and was full afterwards but was tempted to get another just because of how good it was!

I've eaten from there a number of times and prices have always been the same, but for some apparent reason today they decided to purchase fish by itself should cost more than purchasing an entire seafood platter the first person to take the call was rude all because I mentioned to her that I've never paid $14 for fish and toast only the second gentleman said his name was Jeffrey told me he doesn't know the managers or if any of them were available and stated that the prices... I've ordered a plenty of times and never been treated rudely or nasty until today. I will never purchase anything from there again. First and last...
