Poydras & Peters — Restaurant in New Orleans

What you pay for and what you get are miles apart. The server although very nice was not properly trained. I used to go there on a decent rotation when it was Adelaide. The service, the atmosphere, food and drinks (seemed watered down) has fell off tremendously. I did not expect to order the shrimp salad and then be told they did not have shrimp and the wait was because they had to get some to prepare.....really. Even if that was the case I just didn't expect that. A party of four for lunch shouldn't arrive at 12:30 pm and leave around 2:40 pm. Was told that the restaurant is now managed by Loews...perhaps they should stick to the hotel industry and find another party to manage the restaurant. Very...

Looks like a very nice place and the food was good but the service was terrible. We were a table of six so it might have been little too much to handle but it seriously couldn’t have been a problem. Waiter only took three of our orders and got a wrong order for one kid as well. It took well over 30 minutes to get our food.(not including the 3 other orders) There was one girl running around doing everyone’s job and she was amazing regarding the tiny fact she didn’t bring a cocktail for one of our table guests. I didn’t eat at the restaurant, but sat at the bar for a while on a Friday night. Not too crowded, but not dead. Legitimately the worst service I’ve received at a bar in New Orleans. The bartenders were too worried about putting their tips in and didn’t speak to us or serve us for long periods of time. Really frustrating. They couldn’t care less about their customers.
