Just look at the picture. The food is incredible. Distinct and weird (if you're from the north) and have never seen or or heard of something like what we got. Oh, and you can have turtle, gator and venison here! Not common for some Detroiters ! And the service/ wait staff, so kind and welcoming. I highly recommend. Drinks are pretty cool too. Try the melon smoke cocktail and the hole 43. Well crafted. The wine selection is extensive (kinda pricey). Warning, though, this is something you'll want to make sure you are OK spending the money for, especially if you aren't familiar with the dishes. But, it worked out for my girl and I so. Enjoy!

The crawfish pie was delicious and was my favorite. I was not big in the quail. It had a spicy kick to it but just not completely right there- not sure about what and why but one thing for sure was the temperature. Perhaps it was due to it got fired too early yet had to wait for the pie to be ready- it was only kid of like warm. Over all it was very good experience. Fabulous vibe and deco. Our waiter Chris explained the drink and dinner menu very well with great details and highlight!

My sister and I had a hard time finding the entrance but so worth it! Absolutely enjoyed chargrilled oysters, Tartare, butter cake for dessert. And the damn thistle libation was over the top! Love the atmosphere and big thanks to Sam & Sesa for making recommendations and for answering all of our questions. Also, for accommodating my 6 yr old with a grill cheese that he loved! We will be eating here anytime we come to New Orleans!

This place is amazing! We were visiting from Canada for my birthday and I wish I could go back. We had drinks (great drinks!), beers and lots of food! We shared every plate except the oysters (we got 6 each) and couldn't eat more. I wish I could've eaten dessert... Every dish is full of amazing flavor that the description on the menu does not prepare you for. The chargrilled oysters were delightful, with a perfect amount of cheese and really tasted chargrilled, not the usual oven baked. The tartare was much more flavorful that your average, the richness achieved with sweetbreads (what a good ideal and execution).

The alligator and Mirliton were a roller coaster of flavor I could never recreate and I really wish I could. I liked the duck hearts, but was not impress. I would try something else. I often make brains at home and I can tell you their veal brain is perfect, I really would eat them again and so should you, especially if you are afraid and never had a brain. I remember a dish that came with a light, fluffy horseradish cream, I think it was the brain, and I fell passionately in love with it. I almost licked the bowl and beg for more. At the end of the meal, we were pleasantly surprised that the bill was not as high as one would expect after such a big amount of stellar food. In fact, I think it is not expensive at all for such quality and...

postitives: *beautiful interior with great photos of bayou life *thoughtful attention to the quality of the glass ware and dinner ware *original, tasty food with very high quality. the pheasant was outstanding.

areas of improvement: *the waiter was kind of a dick. he was efficient but condescending. *tuna tartare needed bread or SOMETHING to soak up the delicious olive oil. when i asked for some bread, the waiter said they don't offer "bread service". i really didn't expect some formal bread service, just a morsel would have been sufficient. not a fan of the "no bread for you" mentality. *old fashioned pour was ridiculously stingy.

i'll definitely return (with my...
