Was looking for a place I could sit and do work on my computer and landed here. I bought an espresso from the coffee bar that was honestly one of the worst I've ever had, so I snuck down to a different coffee shop, got coffee and returned back to buy food and work. I even poured some of the nasty espresso into my new coffee to try to not waste my money. I went to the man behind the juice bar counter to ask for the wifi password and he informed me I couldn't have it because I had to buy something there. I told him I bought an espresso, and he said "yes, but then you came in with another drink, we can't have you doing that, it's just common sense." I was too embarrassed to tell him that the espresso I bought was ass, so I just kind of said "...oh ok." He asked me if other restaurants ever let me bring outside drinks in, and I told him the truth and said yes. I'm from California, and have hardly ever encountered this anywhere except maybe a really swanky expensive restaurant, maybe two or three times in my whole life? But definitely not a convenience market like this, that is simply unheard of. He angrily told me again it was "just common sense" and would allow me to do it "just this once." After feeling like a kid who just got in trouble by their teacher, I took my stuff and left feeling totally unwelcome, which sucks cause it was a really pleasant atmosphere and place to work up until that point. I was going to buy some food and snacks but forget it. By the way, the wifi password...
Read moreThis place is ridiculous. Squeezing money out of people at every turn. I got to the register and asked if they had regular seltzer water instead of ginger ale and the cashier who clearly wasn't listening said "Uhhh yeah no." When I went back to order Udon soup, I saw they had it and he says "Oh I didn't really hear you." So instead of asking me to repeat or clarify, he just says "uhhh yea no." Couldnt complete the most basic of customer service. Then I was overcharged for my veggie udon soup for tofu & extra vegetables that I didnt order, meanwhile nowhere on the Soup menu does it say extra prices. When I tried explaining this, he goes to the guy who made my soup and he says yes she asked for extra, that were only allowed 4 veggies, but he didnt mention that when Inordered NOR DOES IT SAY IT ANYWHERE ON THE SOUP MENU. No I didn't, simply chose the ones I wanted. He also tried to lie and say it's on the menu above. I didn't even order from the above menu on screens, why would I When the paper menu is posted in front of my face in my line of view? When I looked up at the TV screen menu, the soups weren't even displayed at all! Pictures attached. Then to add insult to injury, I went to the back section to get ice and tap water and I was told I'd be charged for TAP WATER after already being overcharged for my food and drink, all while my mother is at the table with a cane hungry and waiting. This place...
Read moreI order breakfast here daily and some afternoons I pick up lunch when I don't meal prep. I have easily spent hundreds of dollars in this store. On 12/26 at 11:30 am I paid for $14 worth of breakfast and by midafternoon I stopped by the store during my lunch break. I spoke to a lovely young staff member who I notified that I ordered breakfast earlier and I was only there to transfer 2 photos from my Canon G7 to my cell phone. I sat down for a few minutes and the manager implied that I should leave considering I didn't have food. I tried to explain the situation to him he seemed disingenuous and did not listen to what I was explaining. The staff is generally kind but the manager has poor listening skills and poor customer...
