Visiting NYC, the place of my birth! While you do get a lot quantity-wise for the price (large and fat), the quality of 2 Bros Pizza is a tad lackluster. The pizza was too fat for NY-style pizza, undercooked, and too buttery (?). I found it hard to eat after the first slice. Also not that fresh. Was the first nearby pizza I tried after arriving at my hotel. They do take card for small purchases, have tables outside for dining, and include tax in the price. If you want better quality pizza, try 99 Cents Fresh Pizza and Deli on 6th Street which is nearby. They had fresh hot pizza (popped it in the oven for a few minutes before handing it off) that was thinner and well-cooked and much better balanced. There's a reason it has better reviews, I'll definitely say that much. And still cheap, so much better value for the money, albeit smaller volume-wise.

We had an excellent grab-and-go dining experience at 2 Bros. Pizza located at 755 6th Ave in New York City. Offering pizza by the slice for just $1.50, this NYC-based chain delivers deliciousness without breaking the bank.

Arriving around 9 pm, we were delighted to find a variety of options still available. The pizza was freshly made with quality ingredients, including a perfect balance of crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and melted cheese, making it the perfect late-night snack or quick meal on the go.

Despite the restaurant not accepting reservations, the service was efficient, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The affordability and convenience of 2 Bros. Pizza, combined with its use of quality ingredients, make it a great option for a quick and satisfying meal in the city.

Overall, we highly recommend 2 Bros. Pizza to anyone looking for delicious, affordable pizza in New York City. It's a must-visit for pizza lovers, especially those in need of a convenient grab-and-go option!"

Worst pizza for $1/slice. All $1/slice places in the city are better than this place.

The slice was half-baked. Literally, I felt I am eating raw dough. I saw they make pies, and leave it in open on top of the oven, without any cover. Most places in the city will keep it in covered warmer, and re-warm the slice for you. These guys don't even know that concept exists.

Agree you can't ask for customer service at this price point. But, at least give what the customer asked for. A slice and a can of soda. I repeated twice, and cashier says, give me money. Ok, I get it I have to pay first. She gave me the slice with hands (no gloves), and forgot the soda. The people are rude to customers, and are busy talking/laughing among themselves, even during rush lunch hours when there are 5 people in line.

Bottom line, don't go there. Walk 1-2 blocks in any direction and you will get a well-baked, flavorful slice for the same price.

Update: Based on positive feedback on some blogs, I decided to give the place another chance. Guess what, it was even worse.

Never go to this...

Hands down the best $1 Pizza I've had in the entire city. They have at least 6 people working in a closed space and you're literally seeing everything they're doing while waiting in line for your slice(s). Very fast service and I almost always opt for the $2.75 special that comes with 2 slices and a soda. The slices with topping are $1.50 and really worth it.

They have the usual, Basil, Red Peppers/Seeds, Garlic, Salt to add to the almost perfect $1 taste. To me, I like it better than Grimaldis/Lombardi because at least with this place, there's no burnt crust, you definitely get more than what you pay for and you walk out a winner in the end.

If you choose to dine in, table seating is fairly comfortable though there are limited seats and with the standing table, there's plenty of space for you to dine in and other patrons are usually courteous. The only thing that could have possibly made the Pizza experience more enjoyable is...
