Sunac Fancy Food — Restaurant in New York

This is a good super-deli. They have a very large selection of snacks and drinks, chocolate, candy etc. Their sandwiches are pretty decent. I've tried the premade wraps and they have been fine. The cold cut sandwiches are acceptable, but they don't put a ton of meat on. Not like some NY delis that put a two inch stack of cold cut meat on a regular sandwich. So if I want a cold cut sandwich, I wouldn't go here. What sets this place apart is probably the hot food they make to order, especially omelettes in the morning and ramen in the afternoon. Now obviously for a ramen purist this is unacceptable, but if you have to grab something quick in this area, and that is what you are in the mood for, you could do a lot worse. They have a huge hot food bar that looks less gross than many other delis, but I am not one to partake in the open air food vats so I can't speak to the quality. What else... coffee is just mediocre (but it's still coffee, so all good). They also have some seating in an unpleasant, hot, food smelling mezzanine (but still, seating is valuable sometimes). All in all, better alternative than most delis, unless you care to make your way a few blocks down to Garden of Eden, on 23rd, which is glorious...

Service was OK but the food was terrible. Stayed in the city overnight to see a show, not knowing the area and not wanting to walk too far from our hotel, we ended up at Sunac for a late dinner. Maybe it was because it was so late and it seems most of their food sits out all day, but I would definitely not eat here again. We were dead tired and starving and not many places were open so were very excited to see such a good menu. First disappointment came when we ordered at the counter and found out that the sandwiches aren't made to order, they are premade and were out of the sandwiches that we wanted. Maybe after a certain time at night they don't make anymore? Anyway, we chose from the hot menu and ordered a reuben and a burger. The bread on the reuben was so soggy, the burger looked gray, and we got a salad that was just OK. I have a huge sweet tooth so I thought the cupcakes that we got would make up for the dinner. Needless to say, they must sit out all day too, or maybe for a couple days, because they were hard as bricks. Maybe it's more of a breakfast place. If I ever tried it again it would just be for a bagel or omelet. IF I ever...

I was visiting this place to see if the nasty picture from Teia Floyd posted is true or not because I have been a customer to this place for last 6 years and asked the store manager to show if this bowl of the picture belong to the this market but what I found is there are no such kind white color soup cups in this store.

Only cups the store have for soups, they are all brown color not white at all like in the Teia Floyd' review.

Also what I found that the picture of cockroach is so clear, if the cockroach had been cooked with soup, It can not be so clear like the picture shown because of heat and water.

Come to close look at the cockroach on black spoon, it looks like somebody put on intentionally because it looks so clear on shape.

I just don't want to loose my favorite store. That is all!

Now I know the true, I can even upload the picture of soup cups this store is using if anyone ask. like I mentioned, they are all brown color.
