I would like to start with I have supported this coffee shop from the moment I started working in the area, but today I had such a negative experience, I don't feel comfortable ever stepping foot in here again. I came in with my lunch as my office was busy and I had no space to sit and eat, I asked one employee if it was okay for me to sit here and eat my lunch as I work next door, and they nodded and left me alone. A few minutes later a woman came up to me and began to berate me about how she has never went to a place and sat there without paying for anything. I explained that I understand, but I had already asked someone and they did not tell me it was an issue. She continued to tell me the person behind me bought something therefor they can enjoy their food here. I explained once again I work next door and out of necessity came to sit and enjoy my lunch. I have purchased multiple times coffee, merch, etc, and brought many clients from my office and co workers to the coffee shop to support them as I myself am Puerto Rican and wanted to support them as much as I could. Now I just feel uncomfortable, embarrassed, and quite frankly disrespected in the manner she came at me. I would never speak to someone in the manner she did. The team that I had experiences with were amazing, but this woman who I have never seen before, put such a sour taste in my mouth I will no longer be supporting this...

I stop by weekly to sit and have a hot chocolate or cold tea. Lovely place to sit and relax. A lot of electric plugs for recharging, comfortable sitting places, the music isn't too loud. The people working there are very friendly, the furniture and floor is well kept and clean, other patrons are respectful of others.

Favourite drinks & foods: lattes (mazapán latte) teas (hibiscus; tamarind) hot chocolate - not too rich or overly sweet, light to drink blueberry cake coquito roll

The selection isn't overwhelmingly large but enough variety to find many favourites. Price is typical for a non mega franchise shop in NYC. $6 for a drink, $6 for a cake slice. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. Based on their beans to coffee pipeline, I'm fine with the money supporting a good company.

Overall big fan of the location, atmosphere and selection of drinks to order. Price compared to competitors isn't anything special, but the company's transparency with what they support makes...

Love the coffee drinks here! Super yummy. The baristas are always super friendly too.

However, I knocked off a star because without fail, every single time I come, they ask if they can take a picture of me with my coffee. It makes me extremely uncomfortable. When I say no, they ask me to write a google review, so I’m doing that now, but mostly to point out to management that it’s awkward and weird to order coffee and feel pressured to take a picture with it. Honestly, I’ve wanted to come here more to get coffee because it really is that good, but the discomfort I feel around asking to have my photo taken takes me elsewhere 9/10 times. Like, I hate it. And I don’t understand why you need a photo of me and I don’t understand why I get asked literally EVERY SINGLE TIME. Please stop doing this. There’s no way I’m the only person who doesn’t like this happening.

Otherwise, great coffee and super kind staff! Will unfortunately go elsewhere for coffee bc of the photo...

787 Tribeca brings “flavor” back to the cafe/coffee shop. As soon as you walk in you can feel the love and intimacy in the atmosphere. Delightful smells of coffee compliment the inviting creative artistic island decor’. The smile that you receive along with the loving and caring preperation of your latte/coffee/espresso tops off the experience. I had to close my eyes after the first sip because I couldn’t believe how delicious the coquito latte infused with whiskey tasted. I also purchased an iced hibiscus tea and chicken empanada to enjoy later on and both didn’t disappoint. The iced hibiscus is refreshing; not sweet nor bitter, it’s perfect. The chicken empanada is an authentic Puerto Rican empanada filled with flavorful chicken in a flaky baked crust. Well done! Was a faithful Starbucks Junkie until I found 787 ❤️

They serve great coffee here! Went to try the rum infused coquito latte (there’s no alcohol in it). It was just the right amount of sweet and so delicious, you can literally taste the hint of spices like cinnamon that’s in there. This makes me want to come back and try the horchata next, which is their second most popular latte. I have to say, this was the most expensive coffee I’ve paid for in a longggggg time. I only got the latte with oat milk and it came out to nearly $11.50 🥲 But I have to say the amount they give is a lot and it does come with two shots of espresso The cafe itself is a nice place to take a break. Has WiFi!
