I love going to have coffee at that corner, in fact there is a barista who is very nice and attentive but I never asked his name, the coffee sometimes doesn't turn out well but the experience in general is nice! Except today I met up with a friend for coffee and I stayed to have a meeting on my laptop even though the meeting ended at 5 and I saw that the place closes at 6pm on Fridays, 4:59 very rude and impolite he tells me that it's closed and that I have to leave, but I apologized in the meeting because I had to say goodbye abruptly and the employee started raising his voice to leave the place to another table that was at the entrance of the room, what a shame what happened and that's why I'm not going to give my 5 stars. I will definitely go back, but not so close to closing so that no one kicks me out. By the way... the latte that the "customer-scaring" barista prepared had boiled milk.

Very impressed. I didn't realize there were several of these around Manhattan. I almost passed it by because of the kind of cheesy sandwich board sign on the sidewalk. But once inside . . . Wow! Inside it's deceptively large. Very modern but cozy at the same time. Excellent traffic flow and a variety of seating options. Staff is cheerful and efficient pastries and small bites all fresh and presented well. Coffee is excellent. I mean . . . really great. Not the burnt bean taste of that horrible chain from the Pacific Northwest. Prices are about right, IMO. Def worth walking a little out of the way for, but it's right on Broadway just on the edge of "happening" Soho.

Came in today 06/18/2023 at 9:00 am and got lackluster service from two ladies working the counter. Ordered a muffin and latte. They were engrossed in whatever conversation they were having and seemed annoyed they had to stop and serve me. I asked for the muffin to be warmed and one was really annoyed. She went behind some area to "warm" it. She put it on the counter and didn't even announce it was ready. Same thing when my latte was ready. I went and picked up the order and noticed the muffin was never heated. They had continued they're very "important" convo and I politely ask if they could reheat it as it was still cold. The one who "warmed" it up quickly shut me down and said "no" and that she couldn't put it back on the panini press now that I touched it. And added something about the press wasn't heating up properly. The other one quickly agreed (why she heated a muffin in a panini press in beyond me). I felt they both lacked any warmth and had an attitude that like "too bad, we got your money, now get out of here". Whereas the coffee and food are generally very good, I am now comptemplating returning to this shop and I am frequently in the area. There are plenty of other coffee shops in the...

I went to this location on Leonard and Broadway at 4pm today (Memorial Day) and was refused a matcha latte because “ they stop making espresso drinks an hour before close. “ First of all this isn’t true, I always stop in “close to closing” because I work just down the street and they are one of the few places open later... Secondly, a matcha latte isn’t an espresso drink-

Maggie the cashier was incredibly rude and mater of fact in her explanation even though a matcha simply requires steamed milk (or cold, but she insisted that my only beverage options were hot or iced coffee). Im sure the steam wand or mixing cup can be cleaned with in the entire hour (before closing). A whole hour of not servicing any other beverages??? I just simply can’t believe that this is protocol -it was very clear that the staff was in a hurry because of the holiday (even though they still had an entire hour before closing) ; But perhaps a staff that actually wants to work, ya know AT WORK would be more beneficial for the business and the guests.

Im disgusted with Maggie’s poor attitude and lack of service.

I hope this situation does get visited with better policies and staff for the...
